South Korea Plans National 100 Mbps Network
prostoalex writes "Korean Ministry of Information and Communication is planning to wire the entire country with high-speed 50-100 Mbps network. A total of $80.4 billion will be spent on the project that's expected to be completed in 2010."
and I want to fuck your daughter.
Oh shit. Now they can spam 100 times faster than they spam now. But does it really matter, isn't all of Korea blacklisted?

YOU FAIL IT MASSIVELY.
Norway?! Norway?! Norway?! Norway?! Norway?! Norway?! Norway?! Norway?! Norway?! Norway?!
that technology is already out of date. you could buy enough used 100Mbps crap on eBay to wire the country for pennies on the ... dollar.
they must be charging iraq a hefty storage fee for all those Weapons of Mass Destruction to pay for all of that.......
Damnit, you know you laughed out loud when you read this. Mod it up. I don't even think it's politically incorrect to make fun of the commies.
Because we all know the CIA has a vested interest in lying about information freely available from the South Korean government. Fucktard... (BTW: 2003 budget for the South Korean Government according to the South Korean Government is 111 Trillion Won, or roughly 94 Billion US dollars.)
There's been several posts like this. So now I must comment...
Back when we were still deciding whether or not to invade Iraq, I was hoping we wouldn't but for a different reason than most. I was hoping we wouldn't so that when something really bad happened later as a result of us not invading, I could say to all the liberals "told you so".
Now I'm dissappointed because no one will ever know if Saddam had something terrible planned. I was actually hoping for a small nuke in New York or San Francisco. That way, the liberals suffer more for their reactionary tendencies.
You know, when I think someone is about to punch me in the face, I punch them first and knock their ass down. I don't stand and wait there for them to punch me, so that I have conclusive evidence that they were going to, before doing something. Maybe that's not so bad, but what if I think the person is going to stab me? This has nothing to do with politics, most liberals, when punched in the face, cry like a baby and call 911.
The choice is made FOR you!
:)
But seriously folks, I would not pay 2 Rubles for 128Kbps down and 32 Kbps up. Single ISDN channel there practically. Thats just pathetic comrade, I feel your pain with my 3M down and 300Kbps up. And a traffic cap at that, ouch. Is it your area of the city? ISP? Vintage 1970s coax or copper phone lines? Could it be your 386 with 16M of RAM? Cheapest access package for cable? Overloaded network? Bottlenecked backbones?
When I read this kind of post, I start feeling warm and fuzzy towards capitalism and the bounty
it brings of DS3s and OC12s and bundled T1s and bandwidth a plenty for all...sorry, most.
