Kickstart, which was stranded on Earth after an accident after a battle against the Korg. With the help of the technology to come, their leader, Captain Pirk claims himself as the emperor of the Earth. He conquers the world and rebuilds the P-Fleet. Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning has been in the making since 1999 and will probably be completed in spring 2004. Or maybe not. Time will tell."
I thought this story was about Enterprise.
Those are some real imaginative names they thought up. By golly.

Finnish is a crazy language. Apparently in Finnish "Ha ha ha" translates into "No remorse."
;)
Also apparent is the fact that there are no black people in Finland or something, because all the black characters are just white people painted black...poorly.
Lastly, story dupes are bad enough but now topic dupes? Take a look at the icons for this story and you'll see what I mean

You must be new here. This is slashdot, where Finnish is encouraged (silly linux docs...) english reading isn't (anyone ever rtfa anymore???) and spelling in either is atrocious.

On the other hand I'm very impressed with their server. With links the 25 MB videos on slashdot, I'm still able to dowload it and get 180 kb/sec.

I don't think Finnish history is really covered to any substantial degree (read: none) in American high schools. Those countries kind of blend together. A few of us throw Greenland in for good measure.
The site is quite slow (although they do have enough bandwidth), probably because it's all done in PHP. Mega-bandwidth doesn't help there..

Funny - most of the whining here comes from americans being upset that they actually have to READ something as horrible as subtitles
