Explaining the Mars Photo Colorization

TaddyPorter writes "I've seen stories going around the 'net in regards to NASA editing photos of mars. Mainly, the sundial used for calibration showed different colors than the dial on mars. While a wide range of explanations were taking shape, the Pancam Payload Element Lead for the mission, Jim Bell of Cornell University, was kind of enough to explain the color differences."

Does anyone know when "The Moon Landing Special Edition" will be out on DVD? I haven't seen it back when it was first on TV and I would love to see this true classic spiced up with state-of-the-art CGI in Dolby Surround. Or did they abandon the plans on the Rerelease since Kubrik's dead and all? Spielberg finished A.I., maybe he would be up to the task... ;-)

But the reason this tyrant had to be stopped, was bacause he had WMD. No WMD has been found. Had the reason for the war been to liberate the Iraqies and rid the world of an oppressive dictator who commit genocide, then I and meny others would have applauded the war. But I guess that can of worms is a little scary to open, considering how many dictators fall into that category.
