Metal Gear Solid's Rex & Ray in Lego Blocks

IllogicalStudent writes "Justin "Saber-Scorpion" Stebbins has created lego models based on themes from Metal Gear: Solid, Metal Gear: Solid 2, Star Wars, Halo, Lord of the Rings, Mechwarrior, and others. His work with the Metal Gear: Solid series, especially, have gained him recognition from Hideo Kojima himself."

It is too bad that LEGO decided to stop making licensed series because MGS would have made an awesome set. I'm not a big fan of paying $200 for the KUBRICK MGS set... Grrrr...

As far as I can tell, all he's done is make a few customised little lego men. When I clicked the article, I was expecting life-size or at least moderately detailed models. Something like this... that is to say, something equally deserving of frontpage recognition. If I was the guy who'd made Han Solo, lifesize, I'd be disgusted to see this article at the top of the page, frankly.

    From the Mechwarrior page:

    Ouch.

Man, I can remember when Mechwarrior 2 was the reigning champ and Mercenaries was the new kid on the block that my friends and I were unsure whether we liked it as much ...

When building the original levels for Metal Gear Solid the design team used Legos to see what the area's would look like, they didn't do the same for MGS2 because its maps were heavily 3D(Compared to the first game which had very flat levels) and the complexity was too much for them.
