Rockstar Announces GTA San Andreas
Tickenest writes "According to a Yahoo-reprinted press-release, Rockstar Games has officially announced Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, the latest in the GTA series. The press release continues: 'Developed by world-class designers Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will be available exclusively for the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system and is expected to be in stores in North America on October 19, 2004 and in Europe on October 22, 2004.'" This confirms earlier rumors of (initial?) PS2 exclusivity and possible name for this much-awaited game.
I was looking forward to the xbox edition.

In a realted story, CmdrTaco announced he will actually play the next version of GTA since, in addition to beating and raping female prostitutes, you can rape and be raped by MALE prostitutes!! He will be playing the ps2 version of the game since cum washes off a TV screen easier.

Vice City was a huge dissappointment.
And the PS2 hardware is becoming very limiting. Look at the XBOX version of GTA.
Too bad they're locked into a contract with Sony.
But, even if it totally blows, it will sell a million copies.
That would never happen in the PC world. If you produce a shit sequel, you are done.
Why on earth are they developing this for an aging platform?! The PS2 doesn't even support 1080i (which I was hoping they'd support in the next one. Boo Rockstar Games, BOOOOOOOOOO!!!

GTA is a 'great' waste of time. It's a successful game because there are a lot of people out there with way too much time on their hands.

id much rather have an xbox version that takes advantage of the extra power....something a little above the ps2....
or any of the other features xbox has... HD, Live! hello...multiplayer gta...mmmmmm
