IBM tells SCO to Put Up or Shut Up

Jeffrey Johnson writes "The whole SCO and IBM case is coming to a head with new filings from IBM accusing SCO of being 'grandiose' and saying it has 'effectively conceded' that it has no evidence of infringement. It asks for evidence to be produced or the whole case thrown out. According to experts this makes it make-or-break: either SCO has to outline exactly what the issues are with Linux or the whole sorry affair is over."

    Well, it's good to hear that your criminal justice system is 100% accurate and never convicts the innocent. I wish the one in my country was as good.

    It's not that our system is good, but when criminals forego conviction because their name was misspelled on the warrant. We barely ever lock up the guilty, what makes you think we have time to pursuit the innocent? ;)

    Was the criminal intrested in my rights of freedom when he robbed me at gunpoint? Invaded my privacy when he broke into my house? Tortured through rape? No? Then I don't care about him.

    I particularly hate the way that criminal pissed all over my rights when he lit a joint.

    Who says its tolerated? Do you work in a prison? Have you ever? Here's a little inside info...prison movies are NOT accurate.

    I worked for the DOC for over 6 years. I am frankly very offended by the innuendo and underlying logic? of your comment.

    Rape is not tolerated.

    If you have the answer to maintaining peace and love in a prison filled with violent and hateful people don't waste your time talking to /. GO SOLVE THE PROBLEM!

    I will agree with that when the prisons only contain murderers and rapists. Unfortunately, with the current 'get tough on crime' and 'the war on drugs' mentality, most folks in prison are there for non violent drug crimes.

    Should rape be considered appropriate punishment for someone selling pot?
