New GTA: San Andreas Trailer Released

Thanks to Gamespot for the heads up on the newly released San Andreas trailer. It features, among other things, landmarks, dialogue, combat, and a new game feature: parachuting. The trailer is set to a song with explicit lyrics, so viewer discretion is yadda yadda...

      Why do people seem to lose their sense of sarcasm when they get /. mod points?? I wish we could metamod individual posts, scoring parent -1:flamebait is asinine.

    I'm really excited about this game. I think one of the nice additions is the weight change that your character can go through in the game. Apparently, if you eat junk food all day and never work out [just drive from place to place in other people's cars] you'll gain weight and become a fat mess. Pretty funny.

    It seems like more and more, GTA and The Sims is set to converge into a game where you buy a house, decorate it, and kill people in the streets. Time to build a new garage!

      Lol... the feature you're most interested in is your character gaining weight. Perhaps you'd be more interested in something that skips the violence and gets straight into what you're interested in?

    Forget parachuting, will they be adding the ability to swim this time? Or will they continue to treat water as some ultra-toxic substance that paralyzes and kills you the second you fall into it?

      Yes, there is swimming in the new GTA. It also counts as exercise and makes your character stronger.

    Makes me want to fire up Vice City just to stay in practice.

    I like the idea of having a parachute. It'll make running from the cops more interesting.
