Kids don't like homemade versions of real stuff. Your kid doesn't want a homemade skateboard, or a homemade Playstation 2. They want to be like all of their friends.
I agree with you. This is a project for the geeky thrill of doing it. The only kid that will like it would be older kids that are showing their future geekiness.

Kids don't like homemade versions of real stuff because you let them sit in front of the TV all day, absorbing ads. Turn the TV off, give a kid a couple of plastic bags and a ball of yarn and watch them create stuff.

Either that or they will put the plastic bags over their heads and tie the yarn around their necks.

That is awsome... it's always nice to see some people with a bit on imagination and talent... maybe Sony (or MS) should give him a job.

Once again proving the usefulness of the Li ion battery.
The only problem I can forsee is the potential for one more method of annoying neighbour on long flights. Portable DVD players with external speakers used to be my pet-peev...but I can only imagine what it would be like to having someone playing Madden next to me for hours on end.
...except it seems he removed the analog buttons from the design, which will make it impossible to play MGS2, MGS3, or Ridge Racer 5 properly, and probably a few more games I can't think of off the top of my head.
He probably didn't realize how potentially bad a move it was considering he only has two GTA titles.

Which part of "mod" don't you understand? What you describe would simply not be a mod.

Right, lets rephrase that, Anyone have a WORKING mirror? With more than the first 2 pages?
