At the movies here in New Zealand there are ads on before the movies, one of the ads is to get you to advertise in theaters, and they say's that movie attendance is up, revenue is up, etc... if a movie is worth seeing it is obvious that people are still paying to go and see them.

The downside of movies in NZ is that a lot of them aren't released here until they have already been in American theaters for 3 months...

  17. Problems with the software in NZ on Computer Problems Already Affecting Florida Voters · · Score: 1, Interesting

They are still having problems here in New Zealand with the local elections, results should have been out last week but the 'software' that was going to count the votes didn't work... I think they should have just done this: select winner from votes order by number_of_votes I'm sure they will have problems in the US elections, it's only a couple of weeks away and I have read far too much about the problems, mind you of Jeb has his way half of his state won't be able to vote ;) info on the NZ problems... "Ten days after the local body elections, the make-up of seven city and district councils and 18 of 23 district health boards is still unknown, with both companies involved in the fiasco - Christchurch election services company Electionz.com and NZ Post subsidiary Datamail - unwilling to predict when final results will be out. Though officials had said the problem, traced to Datamail software, would be resolved at the weekend, checks by the Audit Office and audit company KPMG are still being carried out......" http://www.stuff.co.nz/stuff/0,2106,3068912a11,00. html

In fact reading through these questions it looks like they just looked at the heading of the question and did a copy / paste from the party manifesto. Where were the real questions!!! What do you think of the RIAA bulling average Americans? What do you think about a maximum wage? Why in the land of the free, the home of the brave can't you say 'Shit' on television, without being censored? What are your opinions of religion in American politics? Do you think the world will run out of oil? Etc.. etc...maybe my questions above aren't the best, but I'm sure you get the picture the questions asked in the article were canned, I bet you most people could read the question and already know how Bush & Kerry were going to answer..

Interesting comments from Mr. Ballmer, I think before giving comment on 'us', and the contents of our iPods, maybe you should take a look at your own company, I can't remember exactly what the DOJ said about MS, but I recall it was a bit more serious than some MP3's you downloaded. Also a couple of other things annoy me about this is that it is all speculation, he has no idea what is on peoples iPods or how it got there. I don't know why he just doesn't come out and say 99% of Microsoft Users are thief's.

Don't get me wrong with this, I like the Star Wars movies, but this is ridiculous, how much money do they want to make off this movie?? I read last week somewhere that DVD release was pushed forward because of piracy fears, I almost chocked, do that not realize that this movie has been out for more that 20 years... it has been on free to air TV many times, the only people who are going to buy this trilogy set are die hard fans of the movie, whom I would guess have also purchased a lot of other star wars merchandise, so my suggestion to Lucas Films is get over it... you made a good film, people loved it, money was made, people careers were helped, and maybe it's time to acknowledge the fans whom with out this would just be another old movie.
