I actually check his page pretty frequently for his mods. You should check out his portable NES and the vagabond atari, they're some of his smallest ones and are quite impressive. That PS2 one is not exactly pocket-sized...but still impressive none the less.

If your kid's a nerd they might. Besides how many of their friends can say they built their system? I would kill to have one of those (I know I could make one, but I don't feel like it...).

They guy has surely mastered the art of tinkering... I even get the feeling he is not going to be keeping that new portable for long... it is listed in his FOR SALE section, just email him and make him an offer...
Anyone else see the probelm with having the buttons way up in the corner away from the joy sticks?

It's not the fact that it's cool to own, it's the idea that there are people out there who would spend the time to answer the challenge. What one constructs does not necessarily need purpose, or be cool all that matters is this guy did something that many can't, for lack of knowledge or technical skill. Simply he did it because he can. Many inventions came from tinkering, better use of a product came from modding or hacking. This guys owns a portable PS2 before the portable PS2 came on the market.

Unfortunately, the cache seems to have picked up on the "Account Suspended" notice and dropped the original article....
