An anonymous reader sent in some pointers to Yahoo rolling out a video search tool. We've mentioned searching digital video previously, and AltaVista (remember them?) also has a video search available.

'''Supernerd''' is a new term to describe an increasingly growing segment of people. With the boom of computer usage in the early 2000s, computers are ubiquitious in most of the developed world. No longer a hobby of [[nerd]]s, the power of computers have been harnessed everywhere.
To seperate from the traditional [[nerd]] defention, a group of people now concider themselves to be ''Supernerds''.
The term in its context was established in 2004 by a group of students near [[Bristol]], [[England]], with technologies such as the Internet, SMS and indeed the old-fashioned [[sneakernet]] the word has grown increasingly in popularity, with the word popular enough and stable enough to justify a serious defenition. Many people who would not call themselves a nerd call themselves supernerd with pride.

Supernerds '''DO NOT''' use the word nerd to describe themeselves. Supernerds still uses the word nerd in a negative context, to describe lowly "nerds".
==What is a supernerd?==
There are several traits present in the Supernerd definition.
*Clothing. While nerds wear formal and inappropriate clothing, Supernerds tend to wear "[[chav]]vy" or "[[hip]]"clothes.
*Physique. Supernerds tend to be strong and fit, often large in size. They are usually very strong and abuse computer equipment.
*Supernerds tend to focus on computer hardware rather than software. They typically save up and demand the latest hardware. No supernerd would be caught out with a Pentium II or a Trident graphics card.
*Supernerds justifiy software based on purpose and relavency to the job, rather than ordinary nerds who tend to base it on phislophy terms. For example, Supernerds often use [[Mozilla Firefox]] becasue of its power rather than nerds who use it because it is "open source" or "not Microsoft".
*Supernerds are more aggressive than ordinary nerds.
*Supernerds usually a more diverse set of hobbies rather than just computers.
*Supernerds are known for driving vehicles such as souped up [[BMW|beemer]] bikes, [[Type-R]]s and [[hot hatch]]es. Nerds tend to drive lame cars such as the [[Renault Clio]] or the [[Rover Metro]].
*Supernerds can communicate in "real" languages, rather than talk in computer terms.
*Supernerds are often "on the go", usilizing techonlogy such as laptops, Wifi and Mobile phones rather than just having one static machine.
*Supernerds are socially compatible and can communicate effectively, this is the biggest difference.
There are also many other traits, but these are the most common.
==Demographics==
There are four primary demographics of supernerds
*Male 18-30
*Female 18-30
*Male 50-65
*Female 40-60
The younger supernerd generations were the first, while supernerd traits spread to older generations rapidly as the traits were easily learned. Unlike ordinary nerds, there is a larger amount of female supernerds. Adoption of technology such as the Mobile phone is seen as the big rise in female supernerds.
==Effects==
With the rise of the supernerds, traditional nerds are becoming an endangered species. In a survery recently carred out, the average supernerd was 40% richer, 70% happier and 80% more satisfied in life compared to a "nerd". Supernerds consistently get higher qualifications than nerds and usually find getting a job much easier.
