Well she's certainly someone who is every bit as attractive as a mature woman as back when she was a "girl", bit like Teri Hatcher or Alyssa Milano that way.

Anyway, the truly perfect choice is my future wife, Jessica Alba.

And goddamnit, this brings up deep seated issues for me. I wrote a letter to Lynda Carter professing my love for her when I was 9. Bitch didn't write me back or so much as send an autographed picture.

That was Linda Carter, and she was such a sweet little goody-two-shoes I'm still amazed she didn't end up with diabetes. (Not her fault, but the scripts and direction. The only thing about her that wasn't wasted in the role was her good looks.)

As much as I love portman, she cant be wonder woman... shes too short... You need someone taller, more the amazon look, while keeping the beauty and grace. Examples: Jennifer Garner, Eliza dusku, cathrine zeta jones, etc

Supposedly both Sarah Michelle Gellar and Charisma Carpenter are being pushed, one by Joss and one by the studio. Personally, I think Charisma can pull it off better, if only because she has the height. I don't picture Wonder Woman as 5-foot-and-change.

Noooo, she is too short and wimpy looking. I don't know if she can act, but Lucy Lawless (Xena) might be a good choice; at least she looks the part. Then again if the outfit is skimpy enough maybe the acting part is optional.

Whedon's enough of a fanboy he's *got* to try and get Carter to do a cameo as the Amazon queen/WW's mother.

    WW was greek.

Being on an island for thousands of years would tend to make her be speaking a new language. (I remember at one point the queen called Steve Trevor a 'her' and then corrected herself. I was thinking 'Why do they even have a word for 'him'?)

I think it's a bit silly to assume a greek accent now matches a greek accent two and a half millennium ago, much less that an island cut off for that long would match the accent back then. Grand total, that's 5000 years of change!

But obviously they have contact with the outside world, at least in the TV canon. For example, they have a game with deflecting bullets and they're using an old revolver for that. If they truly had been cut off from the outside world, they wouldn't even know what a bullet was, and certainly wouldn't possess a gun that looked like it was from the 1860s.

Also, WW's costume is delibrately made of the US flag colors. Although I guess they could have gotten that information from Steve.

(I'm ignoring the invisible plane, because I'm assuming that's magical.)
