U.S. to Require Passport To Re-Enter Country
The Hobo writes "The CBC is reporting that starting in 2007, most Canadians will require a passport to cross into the United States and by 2008 Americans who crossed freely into Canada will be unable to return to the United States without a passport. The tougher new rules still allow Canadians to cross without being fingerprinted, but every person from any other country will be required to submit to fingerprinting." From the article: "Currently, Canadians and Americans are able to enter the United States with little more identification than a driver's licence or a birth certificate, though a passport has sometimes made it simpler to satisfy immigration officers at the border."
With all of the crazy bullshit going on in this country right now, why do they think that Americans will WANT to come back? I'm worried about travelling right now, because if I find a place that isn't run by religious fundamentalists, I may just decide to stay!

Yeah because I really want to travel to a country that openly disallows the discussions of one of their most embarassing political follies ever from the country that disallows its citizens to be as free as they once were.
Perhaps you want me to cross the Pond and end up in a country where they have more video cameras than people? Perhaps you want me to go to China?

The USA has not done one of the many things required to respond appropriately to the problem of terrorists yet. It doesn't intend to either because the leaders do not think that there is a real threat. Don't believe me? Why are the "Minute Men" on the Az border right now? Because the Bush team refused to do its job at all! Everything to make it a heavy burden for decent people but nothing to solve the problem.
Don't tell me I am wrong. I just filed a N-400 (Application for Citizenship) for my wife. The Mesquite Texas USBICS office informed us it will be 450 days before they process this. Take a hint if you don't believe what I am saying is so. Its a fact and if you don't like it! Don't shoot the one who reported. Do something to change the conditions .... FIRE every BUSHIE you know as they defend and obstruct every way they can. In a nation supposed to be ruled by the rule of law, the USA has a President who cherry picks laws and ignores laws at his whim. This threatens any rule of law.

As an American I should not be expected to wait with the rest of the damn Eurotrash attempting to enter the United States. I should be able to yell out "I AM AN AMERICAN! HURRY THIS SHIT UP!" and they should escort me to the front of the line so I can be on my way. What kind of terrorist would draw attention to themselves like that? It'd pretty much provide them with all the documentation they'd need to prove I'm an American citizen. Couple that with my white skin and lack of an accent and the border agents would have to be complete fools to not know I'm an American and I don't have time to wait around for a bunch of god damn government bureaucrats to check some useless piece of paper that I never needed the other hundred times I was there.

Canada is doing everything wrong as far as I am concerned and most people I know think the same way.
Frankly, we don't need you here - we can surive on our own pretty darn well ( something that cannot be said about Europe -given history of the last century)
I would love to move to Canada. I have great respect for the people there and their country. From what I understand, the people drive with better skill and precision in their country - not like the fucking Mexicans down here in Houston that keep hitting me and my friends. GO BACK TO MEXICO, YOU ARE NOT WELCOME HERE.

In other news, boycott Home Depot since they support hiring illegal workers from Mexico. If they want workers, they should hire American workers who are trying to make an honest living.
It's no wonder vigilantes are "busting caps" in the asses of the border-jumpers. Those bean-eaters jump the border and often steal things from American citizens who happen to live closer to Mexico than we do. While stealing things, they tend to destroy properties and have no regard for anyone else.
