Batman Begins Trailer Released

Chris_Jefferson writes "The full-length trailer for Batman Begins has been released. Christian Bale looks great as Bruce Wayne, and hopefully I can recover from exposure to the awful last couple of Batman films, and the equally terrible Catwoman."

Well the director of this movie is Chris Nolan, who you might know as the brilliant guy that brought us MEMENTO.

No surprise that Batman Begins looks so damn good: So much of it has to do with Chris Nolan as director.

It's only for iTunes if you're too lazy to check out all the redirects that the "Full Screen" link brings you to. All that's going on is that the webpage attempts to use iTunes to open a specific weblink. In this case, the full-screen movie would be found here:

You know, where he and his partner were supposed to fight for like twenty minutes but it was over in twenty seconds.

He wasn't supposed to fight with his partner for very long, because his partner wasn't nearly as good.

He *was* supposed to have a massive fight with the chubby British guy, which is what they didn't have the budget for, but I thought it turned out pretty well anyway. Apparently the fight they had planned is going to show up in Ultraviolet.

And then the abrupt credits rolling right afterwards. Its as if they just lost all their budget right there.

There was at least five minutes more movie after that fight...

Anyway, the movie did have a low budget. It shows in places, but it's still awesome.

As I discovered with the Serenity Trailer, you can run most (if not all) MOV files under VLC and not have to install any more garbage just because you want to do one thing. Plus, VLC is just a fine piece of media player when my old Windows Media Player 4.0 won't do.

You should play the Amiga version too on UAE or whatever, it is basically the same but with much better graphics. I remember my friend got that game for Amiga while I had it for C64 and I was totally amazed by the graphics.

Here's the actual link to the fullscreen movie.

To find it, I'd normally right click, view page info in firefox, switch to the media tab, and have a look for any Embeds on the page. This time 'view page info' wasn't available, so I simply went to the page with the movie I wanted, viewed the source, searched for ".mov", wget , realised it wasn't the real thing, cat , pulled the real URL out of it, and wget .

I can never be bothered setting up anything slightly more convenient for the once in a blue moon I watch these things, and I prefer to have the movie here, rather than streaming it, as I assume the first URL was designed to do; might as well use the bandwidth once and watch it as many times as I wish (or show it to as many people as I wish, if the laptop's disconnected).

Excellent reference to American Psycho. I'm always suprised that more people don't come out with "Hey, that Bruce Wayne guy is a freak."
