Xbox 360 & Next-Gen Live Specifications Leaked
Tim Grube writes "Gaming Horizon is reporting that the Xbox Live 360 specifications and console specifications have been leaked. Xbox Live on the next generation is said to have two version, a free one and a subscriber one. The Xbox 360 iself will have a DVD-RW, be Wi-Fi Ready, contain 3 USB ports, and have 512 GDDR3 RAM."

Your fanboy "MS has 50+ million, billion actually, in the bank" BS is the old xbox line.
The new BS is some vauge reference to "brand building" or "building a base to grow from" who the fuck knows.
MS has had to hand back almost their entire cash reserves to their shareholders to keep them from dumping the stock. I guess you spend a little too much time on teamxbox and don't bother to read the financial news.
Three quarters ago MS had to cut a billion or so from their expenses, employee perks and benefits mostly, just to meet the street numbers. Two quarters ago they had to cut a billion and a half from R&D, although it wasn't really actual R&D that got cut, to meet estimates, and this quarter they missed badly.
Guess what? The execs at MS are in no mood to blow another 3.5 to 4 billion on another xbox fiasco. This pathetic, and buttugly, piece of hardware is the result of all that mess.
If you are a diehard xbox fanboy, consider yourself lucky MS has yet to pull the plug on the disaster.
If revenue growth continues to fall, it's all the way down to 7% this quarter, say bye bye xbox. There are 10.5 billion or so shares of MS stock out there and they are in no mood to let a bunch of dorks playing mediocre peecee titles in their livingrooms continue to damage their share value.
Denial from Sony fanboys is a hilarious thing.
