De Mol writes "Google includes information of NASDAQ in the search results. Search for something like GOOG and you'll get all the recent stock information about Google as first result."

I love Google just as much as anyone else, but this is getting ridiculous. Google has displayed stock information for stock symbols in searches for quite a long time now. Certainly long enough that it doesn't require a front-page story on/.

They also had Google Scholar out for a year, but that didn't stop slashdot from posting about it as if it were new.
In related news, Slashdot's DUPE search function is permanently broken.

Why is Google constantly being mentioned on the front page, for completely trivial, non-stories? I cannot believe that Slashdot editors are really just that stupid or incompetent, so there must be some other reason.
My guess: Slashdot (or VA) is trying to sell themselves to Google. They're jealous of the other buyouts, and want their piece of cash.
For shame.
Sorry guys, but the collective sucking of the Google dick and the gentle smooching of the Google ass is not going to do it.

For those in the U.S.A. you can also enter a UPS, FEDEX, US Postal Service tracking # and get tracking results too.
