I think everyone is being a little overly critical here. I don't think HD-DVD is a make or break feature. I can't imagine its more important than a hard drive and PS3 won't have a hard drive at launch, but nobody seems to care. The first xbox didn't ship with DVD playback at a time when DVD video was much more available than HD-DVD will be available when this xbox launches. I don't think that hurt the first xbox.

dude, you are really barking up the wrong tree. the clash basically started the british punk movement of the 70s, which was pretty much diametrically opposed to the attitude you are presenting. the clash influenced pretty much any rock band you can find to listen to nowadays (and yes, not just stuff on the radio). the fact that you refer to mick jones simply as 'former member of the clash'. who was john lennon? 'that guy in the beatles'? generation x weren't a bunch of chumps either. if you tell me 'kiss me deadly' is anything but the sweetest song you've ever heard then you're crazy.
I remember there was a tss ep where kevin rose and that other dude went wardriving around celebrities homes to see what they could find. They even showed them using the unsecured ap's several times thoughout the broadcast! Someone notify the authorities! We have video documentation of serious crimes!
if you left your house or car unlocked and someone walked into it or sat in it, it isn't a crime unless the owner asks you to leave and you refuse. If you don't leave it is only trespassing which is like a 4th degree misdemeanor - much less than a 3rd degree felony.
