FreeBSD Logo Contest Winner Announced
Saint Aardvark writes "Earlier this year, the FreeBSD people announced a competition to design a new logo. Welp, the winner has been announced, and you can check out the new logo. Congratulations to Anton K. Gural on the spiffy work!"
Nice work. I'm sure Christians won't be offended by the more "subtle" new logo followed by the words, "Power to serve".
At a time when Linux is crushing FreeBSD in terms of technical advancements per release, FreeBSD chooses voluntarily to adopt a logo that will continue to offend a substantial portion of a major world religion.
I'm not saying Christians are correct for allowing themselves to feel offended by the new logo (or even the old mascot), I'm just questioning the wisdom of FreeBSD choosing to ignore the practical implications of choosing such a logo over all others at a time when FreeBSD's technical advantages have largely disappeared or is declining rapidly.

Texas, where perjury is just a technicality, when you want to start a war based on lies, and as an accidental side benefit, your buddies rake in billions!
