Physics Nerds Rap About the LHC

Engadget has pointed out a small band of people even we can consider nerdy that decided to cut loose and demo CERN's fancy new toy, the Large Hadron Collider. The resulting music video is certainly enough to "rock you in the head," and maybe even enough to cause a rip in space-time. Between Alpinekat and Dr Spatzo, I think my iPod just got a new entry.

The lead rapper? You mean ALICE, right? The one that looks at collisions of lead ions.

Given that LHC will create a black hole that will cause a time loop, the amount of time wasted by these guys will loop over and over, meaning they have wasted an infinite amount of time with this video. That pisses me off.

And in future news, a large contingent of nerds world wide cried out in joy as the Large Hadron Collider was turned on today.

Surprising to some people, they managed to create a miniature black hole. However, LHC lead scientists informed us that it only lasted for 16 seconds after being created inside RIAA headquaters, and completely dissapated after having absorbed it.

We were unable to reach the RIAA for comments.

The only artistic liberty I spotted is that it claims we should spot the Higgs boson straight away which is wishful thinking

They should yell to that machine: "Will the real Higgs boson please stand up?"

An example of a through process...

    I read the title.

"Why would nerds rap in the first place?"

They already aren't cool so maybe it was contamination of the water supply.

"And why would they be rapping about Light's Hope Chapel?"

    LOL WAT?

And no, I will NOT turn in my geek badge.

You'd think Stephen Hawking would be really busy, but somehow they got him to do the opening and closing voiceover. Glad to see he's got time for some fun too.
