Physics Nerds Rap About the LHC

Engadget has pointed out a small band of people even we can consider nerdy that decided to cut loose and demo CERN's fancy new toy, the Large Hadron Collider. The resulting music video is certainly enough to "rock you in the head," and maybe even enough to cause a rip in space-time. Between Alpinekat and Dr Spatzo, I think my iPod just got a new entry.

This is not exactly new, but it's a fun little clip. Karma whoring or not, here's Youtube links in high quality and standard quality.

Here's a better link where the audio isn't fucked by youtube's new audio equalization.

The LHC and CERN have a music club e.g. The Les Horribles Cernettes, going back to 1992, sing "collider"

I think the "tragically white" moves are meant to be parody, actually. But you're right, this is excellent teaching material, and I hope it will get used for that. The lyrics are just so superbly crafted, and Alpinekat really delivers them.

After YouTube started mangling the audio it made it pretty useless for this sort of thing. Try Vimeo instead http://www.vimeo.com/1431471?pg=embed&sec=1431471

Btw, one the best and most influential rappers is white. *cough*Eminem*cough*

    Emin-who?

Sage Franics, Aesop Rock, Alias, Dose One, Scroobius Pip, El-P and dozens of others also happen to be white, and you cite freaking Eminem?

    Oi.
