Obese Woman Told To Get MRI At the Zoo
5-foot tall, 275-pound Carolyn Ragan is upset with the University of Kansas Hospital after she was told to have an MRI of her spinal tumor done at a zoo because the hospital's machine could not accommodate her. "(a medical assistant)...suggested the Kansas City Zoo," Ragan said. "I thought, I know I'm big, but I'm not as big as an elephant. And my husband got mad." The University of Kansas Hospital would not comment on Ragan's claim, but said its MRI department does not know of any animal MRI in the Kansas City area that would scan a human. You know it's time to put down the burger and go for a walk when you have to go to the large mammal exhibit for health care.

I agree. It's time we stop this political correctness rubbish of pandying to everyone's wishes, and that people accept that sometimes the truth is uncomfortable. Tell them they're fat, no, actually acutely obese, and they should learn to cope with it and not try to force everyone else to pretend its a norm.

Don't bother asking for them to have common sense. Common sense would be "I'm morbidly obese - I'll stop eating and lose some weight" - not - "So I'm a little overweight (denial) - I DESERVE a second airplane seat FREE (I'm-a-victim)."
Airlines should just say "Sorry, we can't seat you. You're too much of a safety risk." - because there is NO way that fatty is going to be able to comply with the need to be able to evacuate the plane in under 90 seconds, and is also a hazard to everyone else by blocking the aisles.
Q: Know why fat people smell so bad?
A: So blind people can make fun of them too.
