Mother Claims Hotel Pool Got Her Daughter Pregnant

A Polish woman is not doing her countrymen any favors by suing an Egyptian hotel, claiming that the hotel pool is responsible for getting her 13-year-old daughter pregnant. The mother claims "stray sperm" in the pool are to blame for the baby souvenir her daughter came back from vacation with. "The mother is adamant that her daughter didn't meet any boys while she was there and is determined to go ahead with the case," said one travel industry source. The level of this mother's ignorance is astounding. Everyone knows that you can't get pregnant in a swimming pool, in a hot tub, or if you press really hard on the girls belly button after sex.

Actually the virgin birth originates as an inconsistent mistranslation of "young woman" from Hebrew into the Greek version of the old testament (the Sepaguint) that post-dates Jesus. The accounts of Matthew & Luke (but no-one else) then also mention this in passing. Maybe the other disciples only read the original Hebrew, not the translation. Who knows.

Seeing as only Matthew/Luke mention this fulfilment of traslator-created prophecy, presumably it means that only they were spying on Mom&Dad 24x7 9 months prior to the birth to verify that Dad never slipped Mom the salami.

Not necessarily. Presence of a hymen is a pretty strong indicator of virginity, but absence tells you almost nothing. Some women are born without it, many more lose it by being active in sports or the like.

The bigger question is, how the hell does she know it happened while she was on vacation? As if she couldn't have gotten pregnant a few days before or after the trip. It's not like people find out they're pregnant instantly. It takes a while to notice.

Or she could be unwilling to admit that her daughter got knocked up by some random guy she'll never see again on vacation. Race doesn't enter into everything. Anyways, who's to say it was an Egyptian what did it? Tourists tend to congregate in the same touristy places, and they tend to only see locals in their capacity as tour guides and hotel staff. The implication of "when in Egypt...." would mean someone there. Obviously, at a hotel or resort, you would expect to find more people from out of town than locals.

This whole thing can be taken as absolute BS though. The oldest publication I could find carrying this story was a polish paper, and they were citing thesun.co.uk. If anyone can make up their own news and publish it, it's them. They rank just up from the now defunct "Weekly World News", where the WWN stories usually included Bigfoot, Bat Boy, and various aliens. :)

At least they could have done more with the story. They must have just had a little space to fill, and were uninspired to make up a decent fictional story.
