MoviePass Is Limiting Selection To 'Up To Six Films' a Day (techcrunch.com)
MoviePass is changing things up once again. In an email, CEO Mitch Lowe outlined the latest updates to the once-unlimited subscription plan. Most notable among the changes is the limiting of selection to "up to six films to choose from daily, including a selection of major studio first-run films and independent releases." TechCrunch reports: On top of that, there may be further limitations on showtime availability for the selected titles, based on "the popularity of those films on the app that particular day." The company has already begun limiting access to specific films, starting with a barring of major blockbusters and moving toward limiting selection generally. Now users can go to the "This Week's Movies" page to see what's available. Right now, there's a semi-consistent, rotating selection. Which movies are chosen and when will likely be at least partially dependent on deals struck between MoviePass and studios/distributors.
A monthly fee for services rendered. Limit 6 BJ's per day.
Criminy. Since when is 6 movies in one day a limit.
There's a plot available right next to BSD's charnel house. Once buried there, they never rise again.
A double dose of the pimpPass. You see a pimp's love for a woman is different than that of a square.
Some drink at the fountain of knowledge. Others just gargle.
Wow, only a matter of time before I leave... that happened fast! Wonder how much longer the company will be around now
Trump's offering UNLIMITED BLOWJOBS for all subscribers named Vladimir Putin. No one else can compete with his treason or even come close.
buried within the legalese nobody reads is clauses that allows them to change whatever the fuck they want and do whatever the fuck they want (paraphrasing here, of course, but it's basically that), and you can't do jack shit about it other than cancel your service, or take them to.. dum-dum-dummmm.. arbitration (ooooh, scary. they might get a limp noodle waved in their direction)
I am not a customer, but it is the light of all these things happening, everyone should just cancel their accounts (and suck any losses up if need be) to drive a point home. If people would do this more often and everywhere, corporations would not behave the way they do, treating their customers as if they are livestock.
They're doing it because they are losing their asses.
So...why haven't you dumped them yet? Are you expecting service to get better or pricing to drop?
What happened to the viewing limit being three per month?

It's "changing things down".

AMC Theatres has a new thing called "AMC Stubs A-List". For $20 a month (+ tax) you can watch 3 movies a week at any AMC theater. All formats (2D, 3D, Imax), showtimes, and movie selections are included, and your watch list resets every Friday morning. Special event movies aren't included. I signed up 2 weeks ago and watched 2 movies each week (4 so far) so the plan has already paid for itself this month. https://www.amctheatres.com/
Pray i don't alter the deal further.

Now that theater chains are offering these same services I believe they have succeeded in their goal of making a subscription service available to the people. However it is not their service so if their end goal was to be profitable (I don't see why anyone would ever think that was possible) well then they failed.
Is to stop doing business with the company. I have shredded my moviepass card.
"GET / HTTP/1.0" 200 51230 "-" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; Setec Astronomy)"
What's the fuzz about and why should I, as a european (swedish actually) reader, give a crap about MoviePass? Sounds like a shitty service that IMHO takes up needless space on Slashdot..
Seriously there's like an article here every week on how MoviePass is changing the terms. If I had been a customer the number of changes by itself would be reason to say fuck this, I'll just go buy a ticket when I need one. They're like a fat fuck jumping around trying to find the magic diet that'll make them slim in a week, it ain't gonna happen.
Live today, because you never know what tomorrow brings
When you read the release, it says this is supposedly just during the time frame until everyoneâ(TM)s plan switches to the 3 a month, which should be by mid Sept.
Whatever happened to FC?
Go out of business already.
In my country you have to live up to the contracts you sign, and theyre invalid if you change the terms. Amerika is such a shithole cuntry!!
