Webcast of "Bunny"

Dr. Jest writes "Blue Sky Studios is webcasting their computer animated short "Bunny" at certain times from March 15-24. You have to register your name and email address to watch it, but it's more than worth it. The broadcast quality is excellent, as is the music by Tom Waits. " Bunny is awesome. Don't miss it. The lighting and hair are both stunning. Some of the best Computer Animation I've ever seen.

I watched it an thought it was good. The story was a bit weak, but the animation was great. The RealMovie encoding did hurt the quality quite a bit (compared to the short mpg clip they provide on their website).

I see several folks asking for mpgs and qts of the movie. Please, hold off on this. First, it's just plain not nice. It's like taking a videocamera to a free showing of a movie then passing out bootlegs. Not very respectful of the artist. Second, making a mpg or qt of the RM feeds won't make them better quality.

Wait for the actual artists to post a mpg or qt. If they don't want to do that, don't just rip them off and do it anyway.

The web page recommends getting RealPlayer G2 or Windows Media Player. I had checked out the Windows Media Player for Linux and chucked it because it sucked and MS blantly disregarded the requirements of the LGPL. The fact that this was posted by CmdrTaco makes me wonder if it is even worth registering to view.
