That will be the day, friends, when the first competitor to AT&T arrives and gives us an option.
Oh, wait...
But what if all of the other players collude (T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, et al.) in jacking up rates to maintain their obscene profit margin? Switching companies has little effect, either way you're over a barrel.
BINGO. Amazon could have avoided this entire shitstorm by simply paying the rights holders for the copies that were sold and writing it off. I can almost guarantee that the money they lost off of bad press is a lot more than they would have lost paying for a few hundred licenses.
Wow, simply wow. Have you been to Mexico? Egypt? Any nation outside of Western Europe or North America? I'll take an American prison any day with internet and three square meals.
Bridis just described exactly how the network news channels work too! Only in the case of CNN and Fox News they have ass-kicking graphics with Dolby 5.1.
There's no trick to getting girls. Be yourself (or a slightly less nerdy version of yourself in the beginning), treat her like a human being, don't be afraid to make eye-contact, remember the rule of 3 (3 days to call, 3 weeks to get 3 dates to make it an official relationship).
You could go back even further. Relying more on ridiculous premises and puns were games like Earthworm Jim and Battletoads. It's games like that which gave me my unique sense of humor which is all the rage with the fly honeys.
Bad analogy. Toilets keep breaking and musicians are free to continue recording good music. All these people equating infringement with stealing are doing a disservice to their own side. Most people will never consider such simply because it's too difficult to imagine stealing something intangible. You cannot put the genie back in the bottle. At some point some enterprising person not named 'Cuban' will figure out a way to use the mass amount of illegal downloads to legally make money. You can't expect your business model to remain relevant forever, even with litigation. Change or quit.
Maybe we can employ the same logic for speeding tickets. $1.9 million because I may be able to go 105 in a 35 despite the fact that I was going 40. Downloading 24 songs is not worth destroying someone's life over. Look at the penalties for vehicular homicide and tell me the fine fits the crime.
You're exactly right. Bing does do some pretty neat things. But I use Google Documents, GMail, and am eagerly awaiting Voice when it comes out. Google just knows how to make products people want to use, and how to keep them free.
I would have liked to have seen an evolution from the logos of yesteryear to today.

You can't patent the sending of messages between people...hold on phone's ringing. Dammit, I'll get my wallet.
The same fascist pigs that you won't hesitate to call if you hear someone breaking into your house at 2:00 in the morning?

Google Voice is not VoIP! I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!
Google voice is not a VoIP application. It's simply a means of having a central public phone number which can connect to a number of other numbers.
Won't someone think of the hookers?!
Google Voice
So by that logic should MS be allowed to deny 3rd parties from accessing their software? I mean they spent millions on R&D as well.
Dammit psicop, I'm a doctor not a patent lawyer!
Best post I've read in a long time. It's about time somebody explained that not all Christians are of the insane variety.
Sir! I will have you know that I am neither a Cracker nor a Honky! I am a Jive Turkey and proud of it.

admonishing them would be like kicking your boss in the nuts then asking for a pay raise.
Depending on your boss that might actually work. It would be more like kicking your boss in the nuts then asking for a pay raise.
I'm going to assume that it's an homage to the song They're Coming to Take Me Away by Napoleon XIV
Welshy!!!

He may survive and be able to tell his story. Remember, one beep for yes, two for no.
To be completely fair the G1 is capable of multitouch. The Jesus Freak mods include a couple of test applications and a 'pinchable' browser.
