In my home state of New Jersey... the overwhelming majority is Democrat. The minority is Republican.

Thanks for everything. I cannot wait to vote for GW in 2004. Sending in another contribution today.

  3. Bill Gates Question on Ask Alan Cox, Activist · · Score: 0

If you had the chance to sit down with Bill Gates (please assume that you had to) what would be the first question or comment you would pose?

  4. MS Numbers Are Misleading on Sun Announces Passport Competitor · · Score: 0

Microsoft's numbers are a little misleading. 140 million? Come on? They give you the service as part of the MSN Broadband thing. I have MSN broad band via Qwest. MS's numbers also represent all the previous Qwest users.

  5. Totally Wrong on MS FrontPage Restricts Free Speech II (It's True!) · · Score: 0

They definitely messed up on this one. I am not Anti-Microsoft like the rest of you and I still cannot believe this.

  6. Apples to Oranges on Free Software's Star to Rise During US Recession? · · Score: 1

It's like comparing applies to oranges. IT money is IT money. What? So instead of paying MS license fees they pay linux admin salaries???

  7. Russians on The Challenger · · Score: 1

NASA wanted to hollywoodize the program and it did. We need to be more like the Russians. Send up a crew, it blows up... send up another. That is progress.

Windoze 2000 will also work for ya. Just ask that latest hacker for the source code and APIs.

  9. Specifications on Gathering Requirements In Open Source Projects · · Score: 1

You definitely need specifications that both the development team (most likely project management though) and the client agree on. This prevents the "but can we add just this one more thing" head ache down the road. Plus, if its a contract job with a dead line... it really saves you ass.

  10. Re:A Little Nervous on Red Hat Linux 7 Released · · Score: 1

What about all that cool USB hype?

  11. Revenue Not Hits on On Counting Website Traffic · · Score: 1

Revenue is more important than "hits". I just wish that some of these content sites can pay their employees and backup all the hype.

  12. Re:Huh? on Red Hat Linux 7 Released · · Score: 1

Why not? I bought 6.2 with the 30 day priority FTP updates.

  13. A Little Nervous on Red Hat Linux 7 Released · · Score: 1

I am a little nervous to upgrage to RedHat 7 (from 6.2) My 6.2 version is running great. I have prority ftp access with them so I guess I will download it today.

  14. Compatibility??? on Ask John Gildred About Indrema And Linux Gaming · · Score: 1

I wonder if the games will work on both the console and my linux box? Linux in general still needs a lot more games. One of the main reasons why I still keep my Windoze98 partition around is exclusively for games. The day I can play Starcraft, AoE2 and Tiberian Sun on my Linux box is the day Windoze leaves my life forever.

  15. Earth: Final Conflict on Palm/Motorola to Develop Combo handheld/phone · · Score: 2

Have you ever tried the Qualcomm/PDA phone? I tried one of my friends and it was super clunky. I was hard to talk and use the PDA at the same time. We need those things from the tv show Earth: Final Conflict.

  16. Mobile Yahoo on Palm/Motorola to Develop Combo handheld/phone · · Score: 2

I use to have a Palm Pilot and loved it. But now I have the Sprint PCS wireless web and its awesome. 90% of what I use the Palm for I can use by just accessing myYahoo!. I'm sure the remaining 10% will be here very soon.
