There are plenty of tools on the Unix side for this... ever heard of rdist?
Simple, automated and you can update thousands of machines...
I've done this at my previous job.
4. iPot: mobile phone in granny's kettle so you can get an email if she doesn't use it for a day.
Hands up if you had to read it three times to get what it was actually about because on the first two reads you thought it was some kind of weird stoner talk?
I was trying to figure out how granny read her email with a kettle.
You need to keep in mind that teachers do not work 40+ hours/week
No, they work much more than that. I'd say no more than 50% of a teachers' work occurs in the classroom.
The rest is lesson planning (ever heard of that?), curriculum planning, workshops, PTAs, report cards,
and, of course, grading the homework.
It is not enough. For example:
Your user schedules a meeting for 9am EST, March 26th. Your (unpatched) system duly
converts it to 14:00 GMT. Later, after the patch to local box, user comes in and
sees that his meeting was mysteriously rescheduled to 8am. What happened?
Due to the new DST, GMT (or UTC) is 4 hours off instead 5 that it used to be.
Without copyright you'll never see a show made without it being bought and paid for before production. Who knows what you'll get?
Isn't this how most business works? You try something and then the quality of your (car, show, shoes) determines success or failure. And of course there were no books written prior to copyright being invented?
Americans live less... but not necessarily because of quality of healthcare. Average

Employed adults in the United States on average receive about 14 vacation days per year
Employed adults in Canada on average receive about 19 vacation days per year.
Employed adults in Great Britain on average receive about 24 vacation days per year.
Employed adults in France on average receive about 39 vacation days per year.
Employed adults in Germany on average receive about 27 vacation days per year.

Here's how big financial companies (at least in New York) lay people off. One fine morning
you come in to work to find a security guard and a box to put all your things into.
You are then escorted out the door, never to return. The posts above are correct that
it does NOTHING for morale.
You can provide guidance, so they will know what they are doing in the future. You should provide oversight NOW.
I can teach my 3 year old not to play with matches and knives. In the meanwhile, I will make damn sure he
cannot get to them. The analogy may not be perfect, but it works. Young kids are not mature enough to make certain decisions by themselves.
You are missing something, that sellers know very well. It's called human nature .
Once you bid on an item, you are emotionally invested. You think that you can walk away, but in reality,
you will probably pay a little more than you originally planned.
I'll give you an example. Let's say you bid $50 for something that sells for $200 in stores. You are
saying to yourself, cool, I've got a bargain. Shortly before the auction ends, someone ups your price.
So now you have a choice. Do I go away, and look for another item (which might or might not be available),
or do I bid $55 or $60. Most likely you will bid, and rationalize it to yourself that $60 is almost
as good as $50, and hell, you still getting a bargain on a $200 item. In the end you might pay $90 or $100.
You are still getting a bargain, right?

What have you done that's so smart? Made sure I never watched Rocky 5 or Rocky 6?
That explains Schwartzenegger! (Doesn't explain Stallone though).
That's because dark matter is God!
Again, why can't you run your engines off jet fuel, and everything else (lights, radio, etc) from solar cells? Save some fuel in the process.

Which is no way like cars. Cars already boot instantaneously.
Hello? Dick Cheney and Halliburton?
Ok, but why do they have 3 class A??? 004 008 046

Security by obscurity means is trying to prevent the thief from finding out the safe exists, while all the safe related data is freely available.

One female will make the otherwise all male crew MORE unstable.... Think of jealousy issues.

Americans also tend to work longer hours.
In essence, we are killing ourselves.

I agree, this ain't gonna fly. People are just too (stubborn, lazy, unwilling) to try something like this. It's too different.
I had a Nokia 3650 (with its weird circular button layout). I've only seen one other person with one, and I am in New York City.
Ever heard of 'public records?'

I have slashdot feed on my 'personalized google page'.
No, no, no. The emails you send to their customer service are considered SPAM . They don't want them.
They want to you to go to the 'checkout' page without any pesky customer service requests.
