Most decent co-lo centers use switched network segments for each server, not only for performance reasons, but for security. Packet sniffing then becomes ineffective, as only packets intended for that server are routed to it.
I think the whole point is not what paedophiles do to me personally, but to children. Children are innocent to a certain extent, and that is one of the greatest assets a child has. Sick bastards who take that away deserve everything they get, and more.
Sorry to reply to my own post, but as a second thought, try FreeSCO which is a free linux based router - it probably isn't quite as compact as you're looking for, but runs nicely on modest hardware, and couldn't be easier to set up. A couple of low end pentiums with a pair of net cards in slimline cases would probably do the job nicely.
I don't know of any offhand, but it could be very useful for the rest of us as broadband becomes more common...

Sun Buys Cobalt

In other words, I'm not really surprized that sun did well with the high end products, but I'm not convinced they can make the low end work.
Why not? Cobalt did;P
It's extremely relevant to those of us who don't just stick to using the Cobalt GUI. Admittedly, the RaQ is a bit of a no brainer, but it also happens to be a flexible, and compact sever solution. When it comes to making improvements to the RaQ, be it new or upgraded software, the CPU type makes a big difference at times.
Of all the people I know who own/use RaQ's, they all know the CPU type. Don't assume your lack of knowledge holds true for everyone.
Minidisc is taking off quite well here in the UK. It's far superior to MP3 in terms of audio quality (ATRAC has improved a *LOT*) The players are not much bigger than an MD themselves, and playback time on most is in the 10-20 hour range before batteries need recharging. OK, recording MD's takes a while, but being able to switch MD, and not being limited to an hour of crappy quality music wins every time for me. Until hard disk based MP3 players become small, cheap, and reliable enough, Minidisk is the way to go.
I remeber a couple of years back, while they were saying that the B2 was untrackable, as they were showing it off at a British airshow (farnborough i think) British rockeye missiles managed to track it. Useful if we ever go to war against the americans. Just goes to show, that the technology is never as good as they claim.
Digital TV has been here in the UK for about a year now. I've had it for about 6 months. The difference over analogue TV is amazing. Sharp crisp pictures, with no fuzziness or ghosing, and superb sound quality. Once you have it you cannot go back. The extra features of digital TV, allowing shopping, and even games and email through the TV makes it well worthwhile.

What did we ever do to you?

So i guess this means just about anyone can spy on us, given the position/opportunity to do so. I hardly think this can be a good thing...

It's gotta be tux the penguin ;-)
True anough too. However, I think that most of us actually can get laid when we want too. No, really.
