is it really that hard to understand? on the other side of the war, the "proper military" that fights against terrorists is also full of engineers. In fact, they invented engineering.
if that was the case, then how could they use the language for speaking? there must be a way to differentiate all the cases, they can just translate that into paper. even if it's only context.
good for them. it's a good system, easy to learn, and it serves the purpose they need it for (communicating). what took them so long? reminds me of that Seinfeld joke, "the chinese farmer wakes up, eats his breakfast rice with some chopsticks, and then goes out to work on the field with a pitchfork". now if only english started making sense phonetically, life would be so much easier.
The debate over whether or not they broke law is misleading, because they broke a law that requires you to get permission from the government to provide internet access. Why would I have to do that? I don't want my government to get involved with me and my internet provider. What good have they done with that "power" anyway? (other than force them to shut down apparently). The "license to provide internet" shouldn't have to exist, so far it's only been a tool for the government to control them for their own benefit.
using a browser to display documents with complex layouts, fonts, images, etc? What a novel idea, I don't know how nobody thought of this sooner. Seriously, the main reason why I hate PDF is that I need a separate program to open them, when they're just a glorified webpage.
I wonder why they don't just build this as a native client plugin, and use it on-demand when a pdf shows up, instead of making a big deal about how it's "built in".
even if they receive medical treatment. Not that I'm defending some clinic in Thailand, but we don't see a news report every time someone dies from medical treatment, even from "mainstream medicine". And that's because sometimes people die. We all know and accept it, doctors warn you about it. Some doctors even make a living out of it (oncology, any kind of non-trivial surgery, etc), there are industries based on it (if you can call insurance an "industry"). So experimental stem cell treatment is not 100% effective. What is?
it's a broken sentence. It starts talking about the militia, and then it changes the subject to the right to bear arms. "a well regulated militia" what? It's missing a verb there. It implies that the right to bear arms is connected to the militia, but this is a law, it needs to be clear.
How does isohunt know which torrents are actual movies and which aren't? do they have to download and watch every file? I understand that the studios own the movies, but do they also own filenames?
will they support an *open* intermediate portable platform? because there's a number of options (for example google's nacl) that are portable, and open (apple could have a say on what features get implemented on them), and don't force you to use xcode on a mac, which sucks.
a 3D map made of pixels created with a physical needle? what the hell does that mean? is this a physical map, or just information? what is a "pixel" in a 3D map? do they mean a voxel? or are pixels a unit of discrete physical space now? (3D physical space?). Somebody got their concepts all mixed up I think.
The first time I bought an original game for the super nintendo (before it was all chinese knock-off atari and famicom cartridges), I was surprised at all the garbage that came with the actual game. Not just the (useless) manual, but a bunch of brochures and promotions and crap like that. I haven't bought many original games since then, but if it's still like that, good for them.
is Ric Romero writing about security now?

and they're using it to make this "game"?

You are number 6

just send an e-mail to your mom, they'll read it too.
Doesn't the iphone have a web browser?
just call it "Shat my dad says".

How do "caring for a 3 month old child" and "inability to parse nonverbal communication" work out together?
it happened right under our noses and we missed the chance to study the phenomenon? time goes by so fast..
if you buy a computer, pay money for it, and now it's yours, you have a right to run whatever code you want on it. did I miss something?

Also don't forget that global warming will cause an ice age.
or telegraph operators, or typewriter users, or newspaper readers. Somebody should get on that.
then why would you use a network you haven't even heard of yet?

fetch the password, compare it. if there's anything else in it, it doesn't belong there, and it'll have bugs
who's against it?
