...if every Linux user dropped the attitude and helped the newbies instead of getting off on how superior they are because they know Linux. Simply reading the manual/readme/whatever doesn't always work. If someone is used to OS xyz or 123 jumping to Linux takes a little help. I think that the Linux community doesn't want average Joe to use Linux because that would put average Joe on the same level.

I worked in a copy shop and that happened to us. We were doing a copy of some academic aword for a student and it happened. The tech came in and fixed it. He said it reads the patterns and scoll work on the documents. It also picks up certain shades of green (it usualy just changes the green when it makes the copies though)
Canon color lasers (800, 1000, 2400, ect.) all have a board that recognizes things like money and postage stamps. If you try and copy any of these it will spit out all black copies, and will continue to do so until a Canon tech is called. (They usualy call the Secret Service)
I'm not trying to be an techno snob here but maybe it's better if the MTV flock of sheep is misinformed. I mean do we realy want these people trying there hand in something they shouldn't? Let MTV tell them half truths and propoganda, in the long run it's better that way. They are the same people who think Trent Reznor created Industrial music & that the "Real World" is any thing like the real world. Just keep feeding the sheep and let those of us with brains continue thinking.
I realy think this is just another attempt at a quick buck. It seems anymore that if things are not going your way then sueing and getting rich is the next best thing. Personaly I think it's realy a no question case. They were just beaten to the punch, so to speak. I mean if I were to go into some gift shop and see some guy buy an item with my first name on it could I sue. Maybe it's just time people woke up and realized that all these B.S. lawsuits are just hurting everyone. It raises cost to the consumer, jams the court system, and is realy creating a society of fear and greed. I mean it's either sue or be sued.
Every one seems to love the idea that Apple dropped the ball with this new chip but hey, where is Intel's new chip? Delayed again? And as far as working out the bug's when will Intel do that? Oh, wait those are "features" of the x86 architecture.
