    apt-get install tzdata (or equivalent for other platforms). Problem solved. Just make sure your cron jobs don't get skipped over if they're important.

    Really? Because di.fm sure doesn't seem to have any problem getting my subscription fees. Oh and look...I can even use my subscription service on my phone via the di.fm iPhone app.

    Do you really think with a project this large and crucial, that the people in charge would willingly skimp on testing? I mean shit, this isn't BP we're talking about here. I'd imagine this is a pretty huge system. I'm willing to bet that whatever caused this outage was just simply overlooked when developing the test plan.

    99% of the population can't use IPv6 natively anyways due to most ISP's not offering IPv6 addresses as an option. When this changes, I'm sure Cisco can release a firmware update that enables IPv6 functionality. Personally, I'd rather them spend their time releasing new features and bugfixes for features that I'm already using, than features that look good on paper, but won't actually ever get used in practice.

    Agreed. Not to mention the other niceties of Duke3D, such as blood dripping off the walls, the mirrors where you could actually see your own reflection, and being able to leave footprints when stepping over a blood puddle or out of water. I thought the graphics in Quake were awful compared to Duke3D back in that day, even though it was true 3D (granted, this was before glQuake made it's debut).

    This is a standard disclaimer on all automated casino games. I used to work for a company that produced automated gaming machines for casinos and every one of our machines had this stamped on the front of it. It also got tested in court on a regular basis by dipshits who would lose all their money, they get pissed off and sue the casino. These people rarely (if ever) won these lawsuits.

    Mod parent up. I've always wondered why attendance was required for a college you pay to be at. Sure, skipping all the lectures is stupid (especially since you're essentially paying for the privilege to be there), but if people want to skip them, then so be it....it's less distraction for the people who actually want to be there.
