I cut my teeth on PDP 11-70s and a Vax 11/780 running BSD back in '83. The Vax had a sky floating point board and custom wire wrapped 32 bit frame buffer called the BB (Big Buffer).
Dec hardware running BSD was a great development environment.
I used to work @ corporate HQ and it is execs like Frank and the really dilbertian corporate culture of their creation that has fostered a stream of suck from EA.
Frank and the rest of the executives talk a great game but don't really know anything about making a great game.

I look forward to watching the iPhone achieve the same irrelevance as the Macintosh.
A comparable PC laptop (like a Lenovo X200T) would be $800 to $1000 cheaper.
