If Nikegets their way in court not only will deception by mindless corporate beings be legal, so will outright lying. Collusion between facisist corporate amerika and it's puppet government becomes less veiled daily.
The book provides good insight into the characteristies (good and bad) that are often associated (rightly so) with librarians. I believe that is why the author's treatment of gender in the characters is even-handed and well done. Like Dune the warring is a tad overdone.
Why would a person let some market entity hold their wallet, and let them videotaping their purchase behaviors at the same time? Convenience? Sounds expensive. It's more fun to lie to the survey ladies in the mall, who have never grabbed for my wallet.
The web site that reported the story based it on a bad citation. I checked out JACS, and did not find the article. Kinda bad if a magazine like Nature does that.
