I'm not sure why this is being marked as a troll. It's a serious statement.
Why would I want to dive into a new OS if they immediately cut down a large majority of the apps that could be run on it? Sure the battery life may not be as good, but why not give us that option? What if I want this on a tablet for work, and would like to run a more work-friendly x86 app?
Why would anyone buy stock in something that is about to get decimated by Google+?
It's not perfect, but it ain't bad either...

So far, most of the complaints I'm seeing are developers who just don't know what they're doing.
"I've yet to see a tool that can handle even a simple daily workflow..." It's called a portable Bash shell with Git, and it's amazing, especially on Windows. How hard is to commit to a Git repo? You need a tool to help you do that? Are your developers afraid of a shell? Surely not.
"Until now it was a fair amount of fiddly configuration to set up a remote SCM server, so few bothered unless you had a project with a few people and some dedication." I'm not saying you're wrong (you're not) but it saddens me to think that the "typical developer" can't be bothered to set up Git and SSH on a remote server.
Right, but I'm not continually sharing that torrent bandwidth forever. With most major ISPs in the US switching to bandwidth caps, that's not something I want to deal with. Ideally, I'd end up rolling my own solution, but for now, Dropbox works fine.
Wuala is making the same claims that Dropbox made. How do we know they aren't lying?
In addition, 1gb of space for free unless I "trade space on my drive" (i.e. my bandwidth) or pay. I'll pass and stick to my 10gb for free, even if I do have to encrypt it myself. It's not like I'm dumb enough to upload sensitive documents to the cloud in the first place.
Did they lie? Sure, although I think it was more just bad wording, and they fixed it when it was brought up. Is it still a badass service? Yes, and it's still kicking the shit out of other similar services.
Also, lock your system down a bit more. Quit running things as root.
That's the point. It looks for changes in the file. With encryption, the file usually *completely* changes, thus giving Dropbox no choice but to upload/download the whole thing.
Why do these other developers keep thinking they can dethrone WoW?
Protip: WoW isn't going anywhere until it wants to.
Sure, they game you make may be better. It may be funner to play. It may have better graphics. It may have more content.
It doesn't matter. People have already invested a lot of time into WoW, and aren't willing to give it up.
Cricket's coverage is deplorable. I can't speak directly for Boost, however, like some other people have mentioned, they lack backing by hardware manufacturers. Unless you've got the latest and greatest, it's going to be hard to really get in the game.
If you develop with standards in mind, this shouldn't be an issue. Most of the updates to the browsers will be feature updates, not major rewrites of the rendering engines. If those change at all, it'll be to better support standards, not to drastically change the way things currently work.
You should try actually reading the article before you start talking down to PHP programmers.
Most of them probably know the difference between comments and commit messages. Apparently, you do not.
We can argue about semantics until the cows come home. Either way, you know that most people driving on the roads today are complete morons who have no business in control of a large machine moving at high rates of speed.
I'm sorry, but passing a driving test doesn't make you "trained and qualified". I encounter 10-15 functional driving retards every day, and there aren't even 100,000 people in my town.
Quit giving humans the benefit of the doubt. Most of them aren't that smart.
Commercial customers that require production-quality platforms with enterprise-level support are probably already using *nix.

...that just killed my desire for Windows 8 on a tablet. Thanks anyway, Microsoft.

Fuck GoDaddy and their shitty business practices. One more month and I'm free of them. I can't wait.
No. However, if I could just get a copy of your car....
What kinds of names are the supposed to have, Spanish? Chinese, perhaps?
Because CentOS is one of the most common distros used for web hosting.

Show me how this works with a TrueCrypt volume in Dropbox.

The two you mentioned are *terrible*.
Yeah, I'll get right on that. Surely building up a company to take on AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile shouldn't be too hard.
Why does screen size matter? Or did you actually find something that big that wasn't still 1080p?

They've been running commercials for over a week now. I'm assuming they bought the rights a while back.
Solid 64-bit support would be one reason.
...haven't used Dropbox? Seriously? It's awesome.
