OK, so this "new technology" will take where you have driven, and upload it to a datacenter where it is "shared" with other people to "help" with traffic notification?
Sounds to me like a wondrous attempt to log our travels. Reminds me of the license plate recording camera system used in England.
Well, this is just a little bit grotesque. Last week The Oakland Press had on a story on the front page titled, "Government Shutdown." The entire article, as well as many of the front page articles of the past three weeks, talked about how the governor of Michigan and the Michigan legislator are in a battle about how to balance Michigan's budget and lose the debt that was obtained MANY years ago. The articles always mention how the politicians are looking to cut certain government programs and reduce the funds given to cities and other areas of Michigan's government.
And of course, what better way to "cut" spending than to buy an MP3 player for every student in Michigan.
COME ON NOW. They already cut funding for schools by $30+ per student. Now they want to increase it by $200+ on something that hasn't even been proven to aid students in learning? If I could place a huge thumbs down icon here, I would.
I remember reading on Wikipedia about how Gillian Anderson wrote in her blog that she would "definitely" be playing Scully once the issues with the X-Files were resolved (lawsuits and what not).
I'm a little disappointed to see that this isn't true.
Am I the only one who is a little ticked that Microsoft is just now releasing this? If I would have known that Microsoft was going to release a "better" version of the 360, I would have held off and purchased this elite package instead of the premium. For another $80 and just a few months of waiting I could have purchased the top 360 package which I would have been pleased with.
Now I feel like I am a little screwed because I didn't wait long enough to adopt something that I thought was already "finished."
I would have thought that Microsoft would have offered some sort of rebate program for those who had already adopted their 360. You know, return their premium 360 and receive an elite 360 for a reduced price.
I'm quite disappointed to say the least.
Could someone explain a few things to me please? For the past year or so I have been rather confused on what the harm is in Iran having weapons.
Why is it so bad or "illegal" for Iran (or North Korea even) to have a nuclear arms program? Why is it bad for these countries to also develop their own weapons? Why is it that the United States and its allies are the only countries in the world that can develop weapons of mass destruction without having everyone else step in and say "hey, don't do that?"
I'm just curious.
Thanks.
Thank you. I will second you on this. I almost fell for the Vista upgrade "experience" but after hearing of the dreadful "security enhancements" added to Vista, I'll stick to XP.
I just hope that Apple doesn't go the way of Microsoft and implement DRM in their OS. Rumors lately seem to point to Apple wanting to that, despite Steve Jobs saying he's against DRM.
I second the person who previously called you "control freak."
When I was growing up, my parents NEVER went as far as to install spyware to monitor my actions on the Internet. Perhaps it was because they KNEW that they didn't have to worry about me being stupid enough to seek a date with some online, sexual predator or maybe it was because they TRUSTED me. Why not occasionally take a over her shoulder at what she's doing? Why would you need to go as far as to steal her password and access her own personal information?
I, and just as many of my friends did ten years ago, have always been disgusted with parents who think they need to violate their children's privacy to ensure their safety. I'm not exactly sure if children have grown more "stupid" over the past decade but I know that myself and the friends I once had never had any issue with online safety. We used the Internet to chat, seek information, and simply have fun. We didn't use it to find sex with forty-year-old men pretending to be children from our neighborhood.
What difference does it make if I don't see the ads? I NEVER click them anyway. I never support the ads in any shape, way, or form. And actually, the ads, for the most part, are mostly useless to me. I have never seen an ad on Yahoo that even remotely appealed to me. So, if I never click the ads and I never see ads that appeal to me, what difference does it make if I simply don't see them?
The Morse code test was required for anyone looking to get a license above "Technician" class. When I took my test to get my "Technician" license five years ago, the Morse code test had already been dropped.
*LOL* And now THIS?
What about the root-kit? How about the Sony CCD recall that affected not only Sony cameras but Fuji, Kodak, Canon, and Olympus? How about Sony being sued for patent infringement on their use of DualShock?
I swear it's like we don't go too long without hearing about another Sony recall.
I unerstand that it may be a bit difficult to get the "3D effect" on a 2D screen but... Does anyone have a link to view a clip from the 3D game?
Does a rooted backdoor count as an easter egg? :D

Look for "Shelley Goodman" here.
