who cares? if the students are using this service with the intention of cheating then, they are not really learning anything.. furthermore they will have to cheat during the test as well, so why not wait and "catch them red handed? rather than make a big stink about something that could be legitimate. personally i'm glad people are using this and other means to obtain information. imho the public school system isn't worth much and hasn't been for some time now, sadly universities, and colleges are following the same trend. if the school you tend public or private doesn't teach you in a productive manner, i feel you are left with no other choice (that is unless you don't care about learning) than to find other means of furthering your knowledge.
my guess would be that the "Intel Classmate PC" might cost more (not the mention you can't even buy it yet from what i understand), so cheaper means more laptops for more users. aside from that, intel is trying to piggyback on his(OLPC's) hard work, from what i gather mr negroponte isn't in this for the money... i can only imagine intel is.
what would happen if the border patrol and or customs agent were to discover you had illegal acquired software or media files, or even.torrent files all over your desktop? would said items considered stolen property? i doubt either of the fore mentioned staff would care, but in the effect one "had it in for you". as a side note i think it would be interesting to try and make your desktop look as incriminating (but still within the law) as possible just to waste their time.
if anyone is interested, there is ,imho a great documentary on the subject called "the corporation".
see http://www.thecorporation.com/ and or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Corporation for more info.

iirc, Jon Stewart paid the writers out of his own pocket which happens to be allowed according to the union rules.
