    I'm just saying this election year is evidence that both of the major parties should be replaced. Mathematically we are stuck with a two party system, but these two parties have overstayed their welcome...

    Right, because we often see the speed limits adjusted every time a new pothole opens up and after freshly paving a highway, they go out and post a higher speed limit right?

    Speed limits aren't sent by engineers who design the road. They aren't even set by anyone who has any sort of safety or technical background. They are set by elected politicians who are beholden to campaign contributions and the fickle emotional response of the most vocal attendees of city council meetings.

    Except the people in charge of the road itself aren't experts or even familiar with highway design and safety. They are ignorant politicians who play with speed limits based on emotional rationalizations and bribes.

    No, racism is not a reasonable description since "mexican" is not a race. He may or may not have a point if illegal Mexican immigrants have a higher propensity for crime than illegal immigrants from other countries. I don't have the data on that, but I would wager that the overwhelming majority of illegal immigrants came from or through Mexico.

    Except he said Mexicans coming here, which would primarily be illegal immigrants. He didn't say Mexicans who stay in Mexico are rapists, criminals, and drug dealers.

  12. Meh, if you live in an urban setting the 50 assholes who live within wifi range and use a 40MHz channel width because they don't know what they are doing you'll get shit speed and connection anyway due to the interference.

    Yeah, that doesn't include commuting time either which averages to 50 minutes round trip per day. So figure 10 hours per day working for a normal "8 hour" work day. Assuming 8 hours of recommended sleep time, that only leave 6 more hours in the day. The average american needs a hobby...

    Exactly, the supply of music will only increase over time and the demand for music is more or less constant. Economically, it's absurd that musicians have been able to charge as much as they have for so long.

    They should be required to include all fees in the price of the ticket as well. It is outright fraud to advertise a ticket price that you cannot buy without fees tacked on. A mandatory fee is part of the cost of a ticket. A "convenience fee" is part of the cost of a ticket unless you can get it cheaper by being inconvenient.

    Except you are talking out of your ass. The Fair Tax Gary Johnson supports has a prebate that makes a basic standard of living tax free. And as for rich people "getting off without taxes" sure, if they choose not to consume anything, they wouldn't pay taxes. Kind of makes being rich suck if you are so concerned about taxes that you choose to live in poverty.

    You mean like Gary Johnson and his running mate William Weld who were BOTH Republican governors? Or Ron Paul who ran as a Libertarian and as a Republican candidate for president? Libertarians have tried moving the Republican party toward smaller government, but has lost that battle and the rest of the party doesn't want to hear it anymore.

  21. My OnePlus 1 is running Cyanogen instead of Oxygen, so I can't speak to that. I run mine on Ting, and while the phone is dual SIM, that won't help you on Ting because it's GSM only, so you'll only get T-Mobile's network.

  22. The fact that it was horribly insecure was in fact illegal at the time. The only defense Hillary had was that there was no classified information which is known to be untrue. Whether or not there was intent or a cover-up determines how many crimes were committed and how harsh the penalties should be.

    Who am I kidding, the sitting president has ordered the execution of US citizens without a trial and he hasn't even seen a courtroom about it. What does Hillary have to fear?

    I'm not saying the gun would have been any help and I know the investigation is ongoing. But I somehow doubt the security guards being armed made it any worse... I would wager that statistically having some concealed carriers in a group makes survival more likely. It may end up killing a few here and there that might not have otherwise died, but it may save more lives on average.

    Claiming that just because something can cause more damage and may not save you then it isn't necessary could be used to say cars shouldn't have airbags or seatbelts since those can cause injuries and don't necessarily save every life. It was even widely believed for a long time that airbags and seatbelts made cars more dangerous.

    Really, you've never had an annual physical? I'm a man and not only does it involve nudity, it involves gloved contact with genitals. I don't know that women get a hernia check or whatever coughing reveals, but I'm betting it still involves a bodily examination.

    There are lose-lose situations. But someone who is actually worried about self defense isn't whipping their gun out as soon as they hear a shot. They are going to take cover and assess who the shooter is before drawing a weapon.
