That is too costly, you need to change the plan :P. Most good plans are 1paisa/2second or 30 paisa/minute. And in practice, the 1paisa/2 second call are much cheaper, unless you are a girl or have to talk to your girl friend. So, the status call, like I am waiting outside the MacD, costs only 10 seconds or 5 paisa. 100 paisa = 1 rupee, 53 rupee = 1 USD. 1 USD = 5300 paisa = 10600 seconds = 3 hour talk time. And if you have to talk to your girl friend, you can always take free unlimited call plan on the friends circle.

But don't worry, the pace at which judgements are delivered in India, human would have abandoned the mother earth and we all would be governed by the Galactic Empire laws. :P Also I don't think Indian govt. has any wish to create the gr8 wall of India. But things are different here, you can publish a cartoon in Europe, burn some book in US, but in India, it would mean communal riots, and millions dead, so I guess its OK for the govt. to step in sometimes and take care of their little children.

Is Slashdot has become like TV news channels, who would show anything for TRP. What the fuss about Hari Prasad, he stole some EVM and is being arrested for the same. Just because he says that the EVM is hackable by changing all the hardware doesn't mean EVM are hackable, at least no one in India believes him. Nobody is making hackable machines and as a voter I have full trust on the world largest democratic country, Election commission. Slashdot should have verified such posts before posting, if there was any foul play, then why didn't I read this news in any of the morning newspaper in India. The reason is simple, no one cares for stupid tricks shown by him and people of republic of India have full trust on the most trusted institution in India the election commission.

Tata Motors will offer a version of the Nano with these safety-features, including an airbag system in its electric version[citation needed]. The Nano has an all sheet-metal body made from Japanese and Korean steel, with safety features such as crumple zones, intrusion-resistant doors, seat-belts, strong seats and anchorages, and the rear tailgate glass bonded to the body. India is a fully democratic, secular and sovereign state, and people should not mix democracy supporters in China & Myanmar with anti social elements profaning about religious goods and creating communal tensions. People should understand that India have a large number of Muslims and christens and such incidents can create communal tensions, and is a danger for the whole country peace and harmony. We are already suffering from heavy terrorism from neighboring countries.

Regarding broadband, I think its the govt. policies that are creating issues, and when I mean govt. should do something, the thing I was referring to is policies, and not buying for me fiber optics or something. India has a huge potential in the broadband domain, which cannot be fully utilized until Govt. allows fiber optics channels everywhere and allocate from the VSNL bandwidth to others, allow other companies to enter into the inter continent network business and allocate the spectrum from the unused defense quota to the 3G telecoms players.
