/me - highly educated Swedish citizen - working against the US. The Earth does not need a large military power declaring itself above international law.
No.. and that's a shame. I'll admit to being a former Symbian employee - but programming for Symbian is pure joy. All the APIs you want are there - and the solutions Symbian has come up with for common problem are sometimes truly unique.
(And no, the API isn't bloated - I think the balance is close to perfect:)
Try the latest version - I gess you haven't run anything newer than v4.
I LOVE Notes.. I used it extensively when working for Symbian, and I've cried at evenings after having to work with Outlook or even custom solutions trying to solve the same problems at other jobs.
Notes Databases alone will increase the productivity at any company where the employees scans them regulary. No more information-cascading problems - programmers helping other programmers and when common issues are found they can be moved to a FAQ-database etc etc. Wonderful.
I took a look at their employee-list a while back.. I recognized three names immideately as being:
*) class-mates with me in my SE-education *) people who tried to pick up chicks on IRC using phrases like "I have lots of money, drives a Mercedes and I own a lot of stocks"
hehe
Most of the info in their press-releases are completely bogus btw, the info in this one is not an exception.
No it's not at all obvious - the GC-games have code in them to talk via the link-cable to a GBA, see Metroid, Animal Crossing etc. It's not at all unlikely that these games won't be able to see a GB/C/A-game connected via this new device.
That's not an answer to what I asked for though - I wanted to know why he said the cube-software would know about this method to communicate with the gba-soft and not just the normal link-cable method.
.. that's all you need to know. Really - that won't disappear for a very long time. A lot of people are getting sacked in the IT-business today, but competent C/C++-programmers that can do non-Windows (non-desktop, really) programming are still in demand.

If an orchestra records a classic that recording is (of course) copyrighted.
However - most americans seem to think your country actually is "all that". Good for you. It doesn't make it true though.
(My thanks go to the brave cryptographers in Poland)
Let me guess, you don't like the lack of TString, and CleanupStack doesn't make sense? :)

Console games running at 60fps do not use interlace

Many thanks for the explanation for the mixing though - are you a developer?
Yes I'm serious. Take Halo as an example - the sound effects etc are in 4.1
Now try Sega GT
The center channel is silent.
It seems that pre-made AC3 streams are sent out ok, but when the Xbox is supposed to create 5.1 from discrete channels produced by the game, it fails.
(Do NOT answer and say I'm wrong until you've TRIED this
Nine, even?
I'm not sure the Asimov-worlds my mind has made can coexist with Hollywood ones though.
We optimised the Quartz UT (now UIQ) a _lot_ for one-handed use - I'm curious, have you tried both?
Disclaimer: I once worked for Symbian and was one of the people who began working on what's now UIQ
Matroid Prime is the perfect translation of a 2D game (Super Metroid) into 3D. I don't know if it's "innovative" though .. ?

What's your source for this information? (I haven't seen this stated _anywhere_ on any gaming sites)
I'm going to buy this for my cube JUST for Metroid Fusion
No, your account is detached from your Xbox.
This myth gets repeated all over the place - and yet it's a myth.
Consoles are sold with a profit. The PS2 was _expensive_ when it was _expensive_ to make - now it's _cheaper_ to make and thus _cheaper_.
They're losing a LOT (and I mean a LOT) more at the moment.
I work in the telecom industry - 3G actually. We program in C, not java ;)
