Isn't the earth like 73% water? How can there be a scarcity of it? That's st00pid.
It's still understandable though that it's not a great alternative. Didn't they already decide this awhile back that we're going to have to do something besides hydrogen? Fairly certain they did studies on this a couple years ago and found that we'd be using almost as much energy to make energy from hydrogen as it would produce.
I too think we'd have to do something like solar power. We don't use that big ass fireball in the sky except to get skin cancer right now, so let's make something productive out of it like POWER.
Power > Cancer. How smart is that?
i agree also. i think MPC is leaps and bounds over VLC. i never liked VLC and MPC plays just about anything, too, especially if you get Real Time Alternative and Quicktime Alternative so you don't have to get the actual HUGE Quicktime and/or Real Player software. MPC is faster as far as scanning through video without stuttering at al, plus the controls in fullscreen are perfect. I also love how you can zoom however you want/need to in MPC w/ the numpad. That's a beautiful thing as well.
props to george for first of all recording this to show the simple stupidity of some people to do a math conversion.
dollars != cents, yet this "supervisor" can't even realize that cents is 1/100 of a dollar when he's converting.
and props to george for his patience. i'd have been yelling at these people after two minutes of their pure stupidity, but that's just b/c i'm not really that patient.
i love how the manager is like "what do you mean.002 cents and.002 dollars". he explains it clearly but they still don't get that a partial cent is "possible" but you know that you aren't just going to use ONLY 1kb. it takes several hundred or thousand kb to even connect to a mobile network [at least on my phone]. these people need to go to take a math class every once in a while.
"High School diploma required" is probably all this job requires. I know plenty of people who barely passed h.s. math that could probably figure this out. how stupid.
most people already own a DVD player anyway, although if you want HD, then the PS3 is a good deal since most blu-ray players are still a grand out of your pocket. most people are buying the system for the gaming and each to their own on the technology they're bringing.
that would be kind of cool if they bring some kind of way to play dvd's for some peeople that do want to ditch their regular dvd player for whatever reason, although i don't see why it matters.
When someone posts a news post on here they need to use the & instead of just the straight & because it looks like @$$ in an RSS reader. just FYI :)
