I would bet that you could take one of these drummers, sit them in front of a kit, and they could actually PLAY a song. Not like that joke of a guitar thing. My God! That's the only way I can see using this... I'm playing a game and I want to check the weather right quick so I hop over to the weather channel then back to the game.
Um... wouldn't it be easier to just look out the window real quick during a cut-scene or loading screen?
You can also get a pair of curved sissors used for cutting R/C car bodys at a hobby shop for around $5. I use them all the time and find them to be quite effective.
I remember there was also a Penny-Arcade strip about this "issue", but I can't find it at the moment. Meh..
