    An incompetent driver is in a position to do allot of damage. In fact experienced drives can and do allot of damage sometimes. Everyone fucks up eventually.

    A bean counter who employs incompetent drivers is only going to save money in the short term, even without major stuff ups it's all the little ones adding up that make the big impact.

    Why would a company employ someone who needs a GPS just to do their job?

    I would rather employ a professional, navigation is part of the job. I bring my own GPS but there is no way I would ever leave my map book behind.

    Bullshit the pictures are valid, only if the cops take the photos of the weed in your house is it valid evidence. Plus the cops would also need the evidence they photographed.

    It is also easier to sabotage.

    With paper ballots sabotage is limited, but with electronic there is no way for humans to oversee every stage of the count. With paper ballot being counted in large rooms potentially everyone is a look out, with computers anyone who is meant to watch could be corrupt. With paper ballot the answer to "Who watches the watcher?" is "Everyone else".

    Paper isn't perfect but it really is the best way to stop sabotage.

    Not understanding physics doesn't make you a danger to the public. It might make you an uneducated moron, but that's not something you should be locked up for.

    When someone acts out of stupidity, yes it is something they should be locked up for.

    Do you have any kind of evidence or reason to expect this, or are you simply slandering? "His dog shat on my lawn today, so I expect he'll try to kill me tomorrow!"

    Yes read the article, that is my evidence. These people have proven themselves capable and willing to destroy radio towers through their own stupidity. What is the difference between a VHF AM radio tower and the one they just knocked over. To these morons nothing, to thousands of aircraft, critical communications.

    If you did it because you thought radio waves were doing to hurt you than you should be locked up as a danger to the public. These are more than just vandals, I expect these morons will be destroying Air Traffic Control and other vital equipment in no time.

    Also an intercom doesn't need to be wireless and switching to another frequency is allot less effort than knocking a tower over.

    At least with music people could convert their own CD collection to iPod. This will be harder to do with physical books, but on the otherhand they are much smaller to torrent.

    There is not DRM on paperbooks so why should there be on electronic ones. I see people selling second hand books all the time.

    Books will always be superior to electronic copies.

    I can buy,sell,swap or give away many books to another person, I can also keep the books I own for an indefinite time and will not lose my house if I am caught selling one of them to another person. The same does not hold true for electronic copies, digital media and copyright are incompatible they simply cannot co-exist.

    I buy lots of books. And when I get access to pdf files that are user manuals, I frequently print them. Sorry, but I just don't like reading from a computer screen. I do it all day already.
     

    I hate reading lots of text of a screen aswell.

    The other day I was wondering if it is possible to get a special monitor with a screen similar to the kindles. So I can paste the text and read it.
