I think it is just we have a bigger data requirement. The early G4 Phones mostly had screens that were smaller, and with bigger pixels, and slower processors. Sites at the time who mode data for these phones, factored in such limitations. So they downloaded smaller pictures, and downloaded smaller data sets because their processors would take too long to render. Now the phones are expected to be hooked by Wi-Fi and will download a lot more data.
I wouldn't count psychological differences, while there are a huge amount of cultural pressures on women. The aggressive man negotiating for himself shows strength and confidence. While if a woman who does the same thing society will say they seem mean spirited and bossy.
Exactly. We see people saying look at the poor they don't need handouts because they can get out of poverty if they only do the following... (Don't buy junk food or luxury food, avoid non productive items such as video games and the latest phones, don't be particular on the work you can do and just get a job.)
All things that work, however they don't need to suffer the sacrifices for such decisions. being in Poverty isn't a happy place, nearly every aspect of survival is stressful, and this stress presses down on them. When you are under stress your ability to deal with the long term is diminished, so they are trying to find the short term stress relief.
I had a migraine attack at the Gym yesterday, so I cut my workout short. Doing such didn't shorten the migraine time, the long term benefits of that gym day will probably last longer then the migraine pain, but I cut it short, took a hot shower, and went home and slept it off. Just because the extra stress of exercising just compounded the problem.
Colleges and Universities really shouldn't be Job Prep institutions. They are academic institutions who's job is to educate people, for the most part for a job in academia, where their research findings are often published, sold, or given to the public. Or received grants to do such research.
However the problem became the mantra "If you want a good job then you need a college degree" So people got college degrees, and businesses also bought into this and made job requirements to require college degrees, even for jobs that really doesn't require them.
American Vocational training seems to be limited to mostly Blue Collar jobs, which are good paying and often rewarding jobs, but white collar work still requires a college degree, even though the work has little to do with what you have learned in college with the exception of some soft skills, such as time management, being able to stick to getting a degree, interacting and learning about other cultures. However there are a lot of jobs out there that don't need a degree. An computer programmer doesn't need a computer science degree, but it needs more than just knowing what the commands do. There are a lot of principals of computer science that needs to be taught, but not a 4 year degree, mixed with classes in liberal arts classes.
If your privacy is worth that much, wouldn't it be easier to just get a different Job? It seems lately our culture is encouraging drastic means where they are easier options available, but just don't seem so news worthy.
There is a bit difference between the two. IE on every Windows PC, when IE was the Good enough browser that installing a competitor was not worth the effort. This caused website developers to focus on IE vs others, because the chances are they they will be on IE.
What lead to IE downfall was its overconfidence and sticking to IE 6 for way too long, and the implementation of Active X which opened the PC for massive security problems. That opened the door for Firefox and Google Chrome. Mostly because IE 6 sucked so much that going to a different browser was worth the effort. If Microsoft kept IE current, chances are with the exception of those Linux and Mac users we would still be using IE. And Microsoft may had pushed to put IE on mobile devices as well.
But what if you are that panhandler and all you have is cash, and you wasn't to buy something but no one will take your money.
Now granted if you are poor it isn't the best use of your money to buy food from restaurants buy get it for cheaper at a grocery store (and if you are that poor then you should already have SNAP (food stamp)) however if we value freedom, we shouldn't be so judgemental on their spending habits, because they may have a good reason to do so at that time.
Yes, but it isn't for speaking up against the government. I never implied that America doesn't have its problems, A lot of this highest incarceration rate in the US is based on a Puritan heritage, and the English Idea of law. Where a Law that says don't do that and you do it then you are breaking a law and needs to be punished. Vs other areas of the world where the laws are mainly guidelines on what you should do to help maintain proper order. However if you don't follow the written law the context on why you didn't is taken into account.
The age old example. You do not drive past a Red Light. In the United States, at 2:00am and there is no traffic possible you will stop your car at that red light, until it turns green. Because if you run that red light, and there was a traffic cop hiding catches you, you will get a ticket that you will not be able win.
In other countries because it is safe to drive past that red light, even if there was a police who saw you, they will not bother with the ticket, because what you were doing had no danger. But if the traffic was busy you may get in trouble.
When speaking up against a country, the English Law US, has laws stating that it is permissible. While other countries without that law, and they feel threatened by it, will use the endangering society excuse to get you in trouble.
Then stay in America. Unless you are brave enough to suffer imprisonment and public shaming in China.
The real question seems to come down to. Where is the line of a law and rule that you disagree with and follow anyways to something that is morally so wrong that it is worth taking the consequences and fighting.
For profit companies, are not known for their morals. If given the options follow the rules you don't like, or do not do business in the world largest population market. The for Profit Companies will be little debate, just follow the rules so they can have the market.
I am not sure if the cashless restaurants are doing this as a code to be exclusionary. There is just a lot of overhead dealing with cash, especially in expensive cities such as New York City, where square footage is expensive and to waste it for a cash lock box/register is expensive.
I actually think a good solution would be blocks having a reverse ATM Where people put Cash into a machine and it will provide them with/update a Prepaid card that they can use the services of these venues without needing a bank account or expensive tools.
I think the problem is people getting isolated and cluster together vs selfish.
Because they often don't interact on a personal level with people who are in a lower financial class. They really don't comprehend the problems, also the lower financial class doesn't understand the problems the rich have as well.
For example. A Rich person who I was talking to didn't understand why I drove a small Toyota car where for only a few more hundred dollars a month I could have a nice luxury Audi SUV. Yes I will get more car for the money, and a higher resell value, but the idea that I would need to sacrifice my life style to get such a car didn't really click with them.
However a Rich person was distraught because changes in laws meant he had to sell property so to have the liquidity to pay the taxes. These properties had staff which were laid off because they didn't have other jobs for them. But me as Mr. Middle class would see this as Alligator tears. because they have so much, they weren't willing to sacrifice a bit more to pay these people and find some other job for them.
Most classism conflicts focus mostly around ignorance vs actual bad intent.
Will migrating off AutoCAD to this fancy system, offer us something so much better that it would be worth retraining everyone, having to get our partners to use a compatible system, and setting the company in a position where it may be harder to find qualified CAD using engineers.
Often legacy software will stay popular, not because there isn't better stuff, but changing is so hard, and it isn't so bad that it is worth it.
I think most people want to feel useful, and oddly enough we equate suffering to being useful. Hence why a lot of religions seems to have some harsh rules. Because we are suffering, we feel like we are getting more done.
When people are the age of 18-30 these are their priorities. 1. Find someone to mate with
Beatniks, Hippies, Hipsters... who all seem to be the type of people the define how stupid of a generation is have a similar commonality. You are easily identified as part of a group, witch attracts people of your sexual persuasion who is also near your peer.
A lot of these kids protesting whatever many of them really don't care, they just want to be out with people their peers and possibly attract a mate. if you are a straight guy and the lady you fancy feels strongly about a topic, you will probably go all in and feel just as strongly about that topic, only to attract her.
For the record, the top are not immune to a crackhead who's willing to murder them for a few hundred dollars. Except they can afford armed security guards.
Well make one. Open a Hex editor and make a 64000 byte file. and fill it with 0's and F's (for black in white) assume a 320x200 screen. so for every 320 bytes the data will wrap down to the next line. and save it as FRAME1.BLD
The key difference is that kids had to go to the store and buy these things with their own money. Not a quick click of a button. The old Arcades was pay to play. However the kids were limited on the number of quarters or tokens they had in their pocket. If a kid lacked impulse control, they would quickly run out of coins and be left not being able to play anything else, and they would had learned that lesson. So the next time they went to the arcade they would play perhaps a game that gave them more value for the coin.
Mostly likely this deep learning algorithm found the GWBASIC PAINT command. 10 SCREEN 7 ' It is 2018 lets use EGA Graphics 20 BLOAD "FRAME1.BLD" 30 PAINT 160, 100, 1
This is the general problem across the first world economies. The gap between entry level and skilled level employment. The good old traditional work your way up method we hear. 0. Get a degree (lets say accounting) 1. Start a job in the mail room, you get to know the peoples name and the departments. 2. Move up to delivery where you get to know the people. 3. You find begin to interact with the accounting department 5. Do some internship with that department, enough to show that you know your stuff. 6. Get into Accounting 7. Get Promoted 8. Goto 7 until you are at the top.
Today for most organization this method is garbage. There is no Mail room or delivery. Internships are just often glorified coffee servers Accounting department will only hire people with years of full experience The job promotion path the company wants skills needed for the promotion. So you want to get promoted to manager, what experience do you have as a manager. Higher management wants an "outside view" of the organization so they don't promote up.
This causes the ambitious employee to find a new place to work every few years.
Now Technology is part of this problem, as it good at historic entry level work. However businesses have failed its employees and started treating them like equipment and not partners on a shared goal.
You think that. But everyone is afraid of the "Other" and are willing to give up their liberties to make sure this "Other" cannot hurt them. However if I am the "Other" and I wanted to do something really bad anyways. I wouldn't trust normal communication infrastructure to be secure anyways. If I were to use it, I would encrypt on top of it with my own encryption algorithm. So it really makes the effort in spying just an expensive waste of money. But people feel good when some low level stupid criminals get arrested.

Because I want my clock to be accurate.
It is like having speakers that go to 11
If your privacy is worth that much, wouldn't it be easier to just get a different Job?
It seems lately our culture is encouraging drastic means where they are easier options available, but just don't seem so news worthy.
Sure internet lag, and performance of our PC especially in terms of the time clock wouldn't matter... But darn it, I want my PC to have accurate time.
There is a bit difference between the two.

Who are these European search engines that are on par with Google?
Their closest competitor I know of is Bing by Microsoft and I wouldn't call them a local EU search company.

In China yes it seems so. I expect the Government wants to validate that your code changes "Support the public well being"
Just like with Google, Apple if it wants to do business in China it will need to follow its laws.

Correction it is only 32000 bytes. 4 bit graphics not 8.
