It's amazing how often 'Admin' etc. works...the other day I was invited by a CIO to take a look at their security, (which he thought was great; (they'd actually done a pretty good job). Since they were in the middle of rolling out their new 'secure' portal, I tried 'demo' and 'demo'...worked fine, and with full access rights too...Oops
Yeah, but beware of the myth of the 'parts car'. The same components tend to wear out on all examples of a series. My neighbour bought two 'classic' cars - one supposedly the 'runner', and the other as a reserve of spare parts. Since he was not really good at car repairs, I was round his place every weekend, (he WAS good at sharing his stock of excellent wine...) Guess what - whenever something broke on the 'good' car, the equivalent on the 'parts' car was just as busted...
Neither. You just sue the hospital/clinic - they, or their lawyers and/or insurers will take care of passing off the blame - I mean identifying the guilty party - for you. Probably ever faster than a robot:)
When my mother had her hip replaced, the surgeon said that robot-replaced hips lasted longer due to better hole size and placement, (they make a hole in your bones and hammer the replacement joint in...)
As for this kinda flaky 'robots vs. humans' story: 1. We'll never be able to beat a robot's reaction times {see note} speed and/or raw power, but 2. Until AI improves, we'll still be the ones programming the things
Note: What was that SciFi story about humans being 'paired' with cats in order to have both high intelligence and inhumanly fast reaction times?
I can see that integrated graphics in a CPU can be handy for some applications, like low-power mobile stuff and such.
But for a desktop PC, isn't this a disadvantage? If you're using a proper graphics card, couldn't that space in the CPU be used for better things than a redundant graphics circuit?
You're forgetting that many OEMs can save a bundle by using integrated graphics, offering stand-alone cards only on 'high-end' models or as upgrades, (but using the same chassis & mobo).
Is there porn on the itunes store? Or are you using an illegal method to transfer licensed content to a playback medium not covered by the origanal license?
Better to read the NLC's original report, (which is actually even more damming, since it contains more detail): http://www.nlcnet.org/reports?id=0034 - April 13
Since the director of the film apparently *likes* the parodies, why not organise a competition, with a YouTube channel for the winners? Yipee, instant good karma for the movie industry, (for a change), instead of this Streisand effect boomerang. All the parody clips will be back, or posted elsewhere, within minutes anyway....
offtopic It's from Wikipedia, so no mp3s possible. But you're right that, (as has been pointed out here), that until such formats get wider acceptance they're a pain in the ass. Why? This is the major problem with FDA interference with medicines that can control or cure life-ending diseases.
Indeed. But we need some checks and balances. I've had a couple of friends die of horrible, slow cancer - towards the end they'd have done pretty much anything, (either to die quickly or survive, BTW).
People in that state need some protection, even if it only against false hope.
Do not confess, teach, admit to, or promote ad-blocking software that will allow users to block the ads of this site.
Great. Using ad/flash-blocking software is a crime now? Whatever happened to reasonable discussion? Instead of just banning the users, could the mods not have simply pointed out that the site needed the ad revenue to survive, and also acted to remove the offensive ads? Who are the customers of a site such as this; the users, or the advertisers?
Looks like they did not take their own advice, then.

Reason I hate floppies:
Sector not found. Abort, Retry, Ignore?

If your hardware & software supports USB and floppy via UBA emulation - not always the case for some of the implementations you mention
The way things are going, in a few more centuries either we'll have wiped ourselves out, or Earth will be a massive polluted desert...
If they start charging to get Ubuntu, then the balance tips back in favor of the defacto "standard" OS that everyone else uses.
You mean torrented WinXP?
Try the 'autopager' plugin for firefox.

Urm...reading up on how you should test patches etc. before massively rolling them out?
Easier still, youporn lets you download the vids directly.
Ahem, or so a friend tells me...
Is there porn on the itunes store? Or are you using an illegal method to transfer licensed content to a playback medium not covered by the origanal license?
First time, I read that as 'orgasmal'...
Exactly. Nothing new here from previous post, except you get a bit of 'Daily Mail' sensationalism. /. to the Daily Mail...
Appropriate, since people are now (unfavourably) comparing

Good idea, but maybe you should have posted AC, since they'll doubtless now sue you "for encouraging spamming"...

You're dying. Six weeks to live.
What do you care of side effects?

Apparently (FTA), this is in the site's T&Cs

Indeed, (and I agree with you), but...when you purchased it, you accepted the T&Cs...

No. On the other hand, don't ask what we think about your political system...
