    Yeah, I had to stop bringing my Windows laptop to class. I'd spend most of my time playing Age of Empires 3 skirmishes, and only halfheartedly listen to my professor (College, mind you.)

    Now that I only bring my Linux laptop to class, I barely have any distractions ;)

    Oh, but I kid. There are some awesome freeware games available on Linux these days, and I'm just as distracted...


    It all boils down to a self-control issue.

    I got banned from school computers for the last three quarters of my high school career for FTPing some papers I wrote to my personal website so I wouldn't have to find a floppy (Didn't have a USB drive at the time; too cheap to buy one) to revise them at home. I even explained what I was doing, and they had a small "meeting" while I finished up, without even going across the hall and grabbing the school's IT guys for a second opinion. Their conclusion? I was trying to upload a virus to the network. Apparently that's what you do in Microsoft Word these days.

    Oh man... My Zalman 9500 literally tried killing me while I was installing it. I hope to hell that nothing goes wrong with my mobo/cpu in the near future just because of it.

    That's how I had dozens of suspensions on my record back in school. Even if I was vaguely involved, even by trying to avoid a fight but them forcing it, I'd get suspended for several days too. And then they used that as a basis to ban me from the school for life after graduation.
