    Well, ISP's which need to host peoples ASP pages and dont want to do it on NT would find this usefull. There are MANY people which would find this helpful, since telling a client to recode their "wonderful" ASP website to PHP or ASP/perl is NOT usually an option. I personally prefer PHP, but this isnt an ideal world.

    thumbdrive secure is 8MB to 128MB. tho yes, thumbdrive is 8MB to 512MB. nice toy to have either way

    "Likely limited to USB 1.0's slow speed. " well, for only an 8 meg device .. *shrug* tho support for 2.0 would be nice, but seeing as hou it is not yet really available I dont think that is really a disadvantage

    I agree, IE is a much faster and all round better browser than any netscape product I have used. that being comunicator and the latest mozilla

    my win2k uptimes have been quite good .. 4 - 5 weeks. I use win2k SP1 as my workstation since it has the applications I need (3dsmax and such). The only thing that has brought it down so far is shoddy power. If whistler can improve on stability I'm all for it. Though the whole .NET thing is a bit scary

    I use OpenBSD on my p166 and love it. The NAT works beautifully and I apprecate it not installing a ton of garbage I didnt need. By no means am I saying that this is the only way to go. But I have found that the default install is quite secure and stable and includes exactly what you need for NAT and firewall capability. More so than debian or redhat.

    Where do you think NAT came out of .. oh, and have you ever used ipf in OpenBSD. I have yet to see a linux equivilant. I personally think that there is enough sharing between the two to be productive. OpenBSD is a very secure server platform yet for a workstation I would never run it.
