    If I scroll on my mac right now, the place where the scrollbar goes does not change size at all, merely a long oval appears in the 'bezel'. If it doesnt change the size of the window WHY CANT I HAVE THE SCROLL MARKER IN IT AT ALL TIMES THAT CAN BE GRABBED BY THE MOUSE?

    Autohide scrollbars are one of the worst UI decisions ever.

    Further, Mobile AirDrop is iphone 5 only. Are they seriously saying that an iphone 4S isnt capable of sharing data over wifi? Its insane that less then 2 years after introduction, im already NOT getting features in updates. Im done with Apple since they are hell bent on never allowing us access to the filesystem.

    First of all an ICE engine itself has hundreds of moving, discrete parts. Then there is a transmission, fuel lines, engine cooling, all unnecessary in an electric car. Ever see a diagram of a car with the entire powertrain highlighted from engine block to rear differential? NONE of that exists in an electric car. All of that is replaced with batteries and an electric motor at each wheel.

    With self-driving cars, we are going ot see a dramatic decrease in the need for auto-body repair. As electric cars come online with 75% fewer parts then ICE powered cars, we will need less mechanics too.

    IM not ok with absurd copyright lengths. Until such time as copyrighted works start flowing into the Public Domain as originally intended, the entire system is a sham.

    You are tolling again Tepples. You know why I.T locks things down and standardizes machine loads. If YOU had to deploy machines like this, would YOU allow users to install an unvetted program? FLat out, its not YOUR computer, its the company's and you will use it in a manner they describe. It amazes me how many people think its 'their' computer.

    O look, a know-nothing luser... If the corporate mission calls for a locked down PC thats what you get. My wife works from home as a Medical Recruiter, should she get all pissy with I.T. because her laptop has to comply with HIPAA regulations? When you grow up you will realize computers for work are tools, to be restricted as needed to fit the mission at hand.

    Wont happen, Apple is still a hardware company. There are some updates coming to Apple TV to allow guests to use it to screen mirror too.

    Replacement start windows are almost universally off-limits to Corporate I.T.

    A GTX 580 STOMPS all over 1080p, which is a reasonable plateau right now. It will do 1440p no problem too. My 570 is two gens out of date, but it still performs at 1080p flawlessly.

    i7s should only be used if you have specific purpose in mind that will leverage the hyperthreading like video encoding etc(not gaming). Otherwise it is just wasted money.

    Its not on the spec sheet, but it has a 6 EU (execution Unit) Intel GPU, roughly equal to Intel HD2500. Not spectacular, but i played Bioshock:Infinite on it at 720p/low and got 33 fps in the benchmark.

    Its a CPU/GPU combo chip and cost $35, retail. Video compression is all on CPU, Celerons dont have Quick Sync. I was refuting the OP's claim that Win 8 needs an i5 minimum.

    NO one is saying Win 8 is bad. What we are saying is that they need to get their dick out of our face. Dont force Metro, give us the choice to run it like Win7 and BAM most of Win8 hate disappears. They had to have Metro at all costs, and it clearly cost them.
