Lets pile on the fact that Microsoft's device to deliver music, movies and such starts at $500 + $60/year. MS is really on the wrong side of the equation now. I cant wait to watch the next few years unfold.
Just no. Intel's cheapest x86 chip is the Celeron 1610. It is unbelievably powerful for its cost and TDP and runs Win 8 perfectly. I have it in several DVRs recording 4 HD channels per. It even compresses to mp4 at about double realtime(takes 1 hour to compress a 2 hour movie). You would do better by mandating SSDs for Win 8 than forcing an i5.
The government should not be in the business of deciding who can and cannot use various modes of transport, period. The fact that they do so is a pretty clear violation of freedom of movement.
It remained to be seen what benefits this would have brought. First and foremost these moves were to please others, not consumers. I dont not trust a company that wont even allow multiple audio paths on its OS due to being in bed with content creators.
O yes you can say Xbox One failed hard as originally envisioned. All those DRM features were there for leveraging with content partners. They had to scale all those relationships back.
You would be able to take manual control, within certain pre-set limits. Ultimately, you wont have root or the automated road will reject you. The car will never allow you to go above the speed the road is rated for. You will have an illusion of control.
There is no way to verify your claims, that is the whole point. MS offers absolutely no transparency on this issue. It comes down to 'do we trust a foreign company'
What the hell is wrong with teaching people acceptance? To live with the body the universe provided? I cant exist at all points in the universe simultaneously and it bothers me, can we find a treatment for that too?
I really despise the school of thought that if there isnt a name attached to an idea, it obviously has no worth. If a PhD and a streetbum both submit articles on how to suture a wound and both are scientifically correct, does it matter who wrote what article? Would you really spend time talking discrediting the bum's paper solely on who he is and not the content of his work?
Well said. When the the leaks first came out i started designing air-gapped solutions and paired encrypted raspberry pis as secure comms terminals, etc and I realized its all for nothing. I should be focusing my energy on changing the law, not crappy workarounds.
It all depends on your perspective. I firmly believe that while this was legal, it was an illegitimate use of power. Abduction is just as accurate detaining, depending on what you consider legitimate authority.

Have you seen marketing budgets lately? They can easily eclipse the actual production cost.
Saw the trailer for 10 seconds and said to myself 'O look its Captain Jack in disguise'

Kirstie Alley was the hottest Vulcan ever, back in the day.
Telling me I cant fly because the government is WILDLY overstepping its bounds violates the freedom of movement clause.
IN the America i grew up in, shooting guns before going to the airport would not be cause enough to even question someone.

This was at the height of the Mortgage boom. I knew more then one mortgage broker who had one. The Ferrari sound when starting it was kind of cool
How is the joke on us? Ballmer's personal wealth means nothing to me.

It bothers me that you still call it 'paranoia'. WE weren't paranoid, they really were doing bad shit.
There is only one race, the human one.

It comes up in EVERY discussion about prison. MANY people feel that its perfectly ok for prisoners to rape each other.
Its pretty much equivalent to a felony.

At 47,000 apps, hes got a template churning them out. Plug in a few values and its done.

It is incredibly poor taste for you to speak out against PJ like this. She has done more then her fair share, leave her be.

Very few works of art have reached the cultural saturation Happy Birthday has.
