    This is nothing new. How many BMW M3 owners are actually ever going to take their car to the track and wring it out? They bought it as a fashion statement, not a finely tuned automobile capable of glorious visceral returns on the track.

    One thing that Steve and Apple got absolutely right is the need to database your data. I hated and resisted Itunes forever, but I understand the need for it. Files in folders sucks and we need better ways of abstracting without removing the ability to file manage at all.

    There are a TON of options, one has but to look. Everything from full sized desktop keyboards to integrated keyboard/case systems. The only thing lacking is imagination. Anything with a built in keyboard ALREADY MAKES COMPROMISES IN FORM FACTOR, so its no different if you add one later.

    Monoprice.com is going to start stocking house-branded 27" ($400) and 30"($600-$700) IPS panels for a DEEP discount in March. Same LG panels as used in Apple Cinema Display.     First hes a renter not an owner. You cant run a cord out from your house out to the parking lot to charge your car every night. It crosses property that is not his, including a sidewalk. He was asked many times not to do it, finally the home-owner got sick of the complaints and initiated an eviction on him.

    The mid-size Hyundai sedans drive like a heavy boat. My corolla feels outright nimble after driving a Hyundai.

    I was ok with Top Gear, until they put that blowhard Jeremy into the intro in Forza 4. His hyperbole must only work on 17 year old boys, because i find their take on cars childish.

    Funny, i passed on the Civic partly because the instrument cluster was too hi-tech. Went with the '11 Corolla with a more standard instrument cluster.

    You can create deep ties between guest and host and exchange data between them trivially. Setup a folder that both OS's can reach, problem solved. If done right its the same as tabbing through windows.

    The Supreme Court routinely ignores the Constitution, and issues very bad rulings based on some of the worst logic. Their legitimacy as an arbiter of justice is in serious doubt.

    Most ISPs do not care if you are running a very small, private, low volume server. If you are getting 1000s of hits a day, they are going to notice.

    Motherboards , in my experience are the flakiest part, even from reputable vendors.

    TOS restrictions on servers on residential pipes really only apply to if you are having 1000s of visitors. The only server they really frown on is a mail server.

    'except the by-default unavoidable start screen' thats the whole crux right there. I dont want my computer to be an advertising platform, which is a big part of what metro is. The whole interface is designed to be able to deliver a constant stream of opportunities to advertise to you. Nothing on my mac changed on how it operates from Lion to Mtn Lion except that I had to allow unsigned apps. That is how you introduce change to your users, offering choice. The more MS insists i use Metro, the less interested i am because i know it is not in my best interest but theirs. Im not blind to Apple's lock-in, but we are talking mac to windows here not RT or iOS.

    Its as simple as, i dont like it being foisted upon me. The Apple Mac store is an unobtrusive part of my mac. The Microsoft store is front and center and forced. If Metro existed without being forced to be used, it would have much less hate directed towards it. We all see it for the trojan horse it is.
