To add to that Apple understands how extremely unwise it would be to stop supporting a phone before its 2 year contract is up. An example- 12 months ago people were still able to buy 1st gen iPhones, so I expect them to stay supported until at least the next rev., though the similarity to the 3G might extend that.
Seeing Apple jump on board with HTML 5 and especially the video/audio tags is huge. If Apple is right that they own 65% of mobile browsing; having them stay up to date with standards is huge and ought to set the tone for others.
Sure Palm can hack it again and again and again. But do you really think that their customers would put up with the hassle of having sync break every few weeks? Apple doesn't have to make iTunes impossible to sync with, just a big enough pain to keep Palm customers annoyed. Its a smart idea, but will go the same way as when Real tried it.
I'm pretty sure that they both know that in the end Apple would come out ahead in any legal battle. If just by the size of their coffers. But Palm doesn't want to go down that road. Apple doesn't either.
I got the karma to burn so I just gotta ask. Where the heck does somebody come off blaming losing their job because of Obama? Do you work for Blackwater? Last I checked this recession pre-dated the new administration. I suppose if somebody has to lose their job, it might as well be somebody who is a supporter of the policies that put us there. Not the rest of us that went with the other guy both times.
Agreed. It is also worth pointing out that the Lisa could run the MacOS. So in many ways it was a prototype that made it to production. Also there have been bigger badder Macs. Ask anybody who owned a Powerbook 5300 (?) what the worst Mac ever made was.
Every time MS starts up the hype train they start promising the world. Total kernel rewrites, new filesystems, fancy features. Then over the course of the following years they begin to slowly peal them back until we get what is a shadow of the initial promise. Now they are not the only ones who do this (I'm looking at you Sony), but it has become so predictable I don't even listen to what they say until beta. Even then things often don't make it to final release.
I loved the LEGO Guitar Hero/Rockband games when they came out. But they are milking this trend to death. It seems like there is a LEGO or rhythm game every week. The sad thing is that because of this, I suspect they will end up killing both franchises with over saturation. This is a great example of short term business decisions. Get the profit now while killing the franchise, instead of releasing a game every few years for the next 20 years.
Sadly, because there was no policy on how to use turnitin.com it was written up as an honest mistake on her part. Oh course that didn't keep me off the shit list for my remaining 2 years. The funny thing is that the paper only needed to be 5 pages, but I was so enthralled with the topic that I went to 10 pages. That must have been a red flag for her which is what started it all. Talk about a great way to make a kid hate history class.
Thank you for the insider perspective. I think one of my main frustrations with this had to do with how well I have always been treated by my educators. I really had some great teachers. So when this hit me is was like a ton of bricks.
Sadly I think the problems with many institutions especially pre-college is that they really don't have guidelines on how to use services like TurnItIn. So all there needs to be is one or two un-savvy people and students can be in danger of stuff like this. The lesson here is no matter how good a tool is, don't use unless you are prepared to understand it first.
This is an example of a tool that is far too powerful for the people intended to use it and therefore distructive. I remember getting chewed out by a teacher because I had a 2% match on a 10 page paper. Things like "that is" "before that" ect. were interpreted as plagiarism because somebody on the face of the earth had written them before. Oh course the dumbass teacher saw the 2% and failed me on the paper, which I had to fight all the way to the top of the school, where thankfully somebody bothered to check it out and realize I was being burned at the stake. For my remaining years I was considered somebody to watch thanks to this service and the brain dead people who use it.
To me on the the biggest issues with Apple is that they don't really offer a full range of configurations. So if for instance somebody wants a mid-range tower they are out of luck. Or a consumer notebook with a big screen. What they do make I think is competitive in those markets. But an expanded lineup would really help.
Or at least their songwriter is. They should just be glad anybody would choose to listen to their garbage, free or not. I would need a gun to my head to indulge in their shit.

CF slots are too bulky for Apple's design. Atleast thats my guess.

Or Virtual PC for PPC Macs. FPS? No no no. FPH is more like it.

I remember having a 5200 in my school classroom. I just remembered how slow both PPC and 680x0 code ran. Torture.

I bet those are either worth a fortune now or certainly will be in the future.
No sale from Mii!
The irony of this is that many consider the LEGO games very difficult. I know the Star Wars ones were.

The only problem that I heard abooot caused by this bill so far has been with world of warcraft...
There fixed that for ya. Cheers!
Why can't Americans accept that they couldn't beat the French-Canadians?
Oh yeah silly us. We only sell you 90% of your arsenal.

Yes and they cannot access the 3G network. Just like what was said.

I'm so glad some "artists" have chosen to come out and show us who not to buy records from. Thanks guys, don't expect a cent from me.
Just because RedHat used to be at the top of the desktop Linux game and failed doesn't mean its impossible.
The Bible! You actually believe that? Anybody with a brain knows our real creator is the Flying Spaghetti Monster!
